Hi, my name is Ginger, aka "Gingi or Princess". I'm about 4 years old and 15 pounds. My mom says I'm a Chiweenie (Chihuahua/Dachshund mix) and that I'm perfect. I'm current on all my shots, microchipped, spayed, and kennel trained. I am heartworm positive, but my treatment has already begun and the treatment goes with me when I'm adopted. Also, I don't believe in going potty in the house, so I learned how to use the doggy door right away. I like my foster fur brothers, but I'm really not interested in playing with them. They rough house and that's not dignified in my opinion. I would rather be with my person, cuddling up on the couch. My foster mom does take me for walks and rides in the car and I have perfect manners. I think I would get along with cats and respectful children if asked. I'm not a big eater, but I love a boiled egg for a treat. Do you think you want to be my forever person? My foster mom wanted me to add: 1. I received my name because of my color AND because of my "gingerly" walk whenever I'm happy (which is 99% of the time). 2. I smile. 3. I'm a total cuddle bug and will follow you anywhere in the house. 4. I love being brushed and don't mind mani-pedis. Story
Little Man is a 12 year old Chihuahua mix with a big personality and even bigger heart. Coming in at a whopping 7 pounds, this little guy will have you tied around his little paw! Little Man is current on his shots, neutered, microchipped, and heartworm negative. He's potty trained, but occasionally marks his territory, so foster mom puts a diaper on him. Little Man is kennel trained, but much prefers sleeping in bed with his person. He recently had a dental cleaning, which included some extractions. Little Man was diagnosed with kidney disease and it was recommended to start him on a kidney diet, with lab work done every 6 months to monitor his condition. Little Man is happiest when he is with his person, cuddled up under a warm blanket, or sun bathing outside. He does wonderfully with other dogs (assuming they are not too hyper and try to run over him) and even birds. Although it's not known how he will do with cats, given his easy going temperment, we do not suspect there would be an issue. He is a special little senior who deserves the best home to spend his golden years. If you feel Little Man is a perfect fit for your home, please complete an application.
