Story
Hello! My name is Yuki.I am a sweet little southern girl, weighing in at under 4lbs. I came to Vermont by transport from being a stray in Louisiana. I like to go on short walks, but mostly prefer being picked up and snuggled. Belly rubs are my favorite. Since I am so little, and often underfoot, I would do best with a person who is aware of that, and use to quick moving little pets.If you have room in your home and your heart for one of the smallest and sweetest dogs ever, come visit me today.

Story
Meet Mr. Beans! Beans is a 9 year old Chihuahua mix at around 18 lbs. Beans is a calm and slightly anxious older man who likes to do his own thing. He would prefer a slightly calmer home where he can snuggle in his bed and take nice strolls outside. Beans can possibly live with a calm small dog, cats and teenage children. Beans does have some special medical needs that a staff member is happy to discuss with you due to a heart murmur and infrequent seizures. At this time these medical needs do not require medication. Please visit the following link on our website to learn about Second Chance's adoption process. http://www.2ndchanceanimalcenter.org/adoption.html April 19, 2025, 1:35 pm

I am all ready to be adopted :) My adoption fee is $650, and covers all of my vetting, and includes transport within the next two weeks, if my new family lives in the northeast USA. ***PLEASE DO NOT FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION IF YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO ADOPT WITHIN THE NEXT TWO WEEKS**** Please visit https://www.apply.daybeforetherainbow.com/ to fill out an adoption application form or email my rescue at taryn@daybeforetherainbow.com! Story
Sadie is up for adoption in Texas only! Sadie is an 8-year-old, 10-pound long-haired Chihuahua with a heart full of love and a past that proves her resilience. She was rescued from a severe hoarding situation where she and 28 other dogs were found emaciated, but despite her rough start, Sadie has blossomed into a sweet and affectionate companion. This little lady is calm and low to medium energy, making her an ideal lap dog. She absolutely adores belly rubs and will happily curl up in bed with you or sleep in her kennel if needed. While she takes some time to warm up to new people, once she feels safe, Sadie becomes very social. She has a gentle, quiet way of "talking" to communicate, never loud but always expressive. She gets along well with cats and loves cuddling up next to other dogs for warmth and comfort. Sadie enjoys simple pleasures—basking in the sun, whether outside or through a bright window, brings her immense joy. She is highly food and treat motivated, which helps with training. Though not fully potty trained, she tries her best by whining or performing little tricks to signal when she needs to go out. Car rides are another favorite activity, as long as the windows stay up. And if there’s a pup cup involved, she’s all in! Sadie may have had a tough beginning, but she is ready to spend her golden years in a loving home where she can feel safe, cherished, and spoiled.
