Story
What the foster human has to say: Crimson is a 10 month old chihuahua rat terrier mix that is a 60 pound dog in a 15 pound body. He loves to play and will entertain himself but loves other dogs. He can be constantly on the go if that’s what is required but can also chill. Goes in to his crate when asked and curls up in his bed without protest. He is house trained and loves all humans whether big or small. I call him sunny because he is such a bright ray who wlll light up your day.

Story
Some dogs get a name that sounds cute. Lovebug got a name that perfectly describes who she is. At around 2½ years old, Lovebug is the kind of dog who makes a house feel like home. She has a heart full of love, a gentle soul, and a personality that makes everyone around her smile. If you have been dreaming of a dog who truly wants to be part of the family, Lovebug may be exactly who you have been searching for. Take a look at Lovebug in action and then come back to read more- https://youtu.be/9Gb9e6rmrII Lovebug is currently thriving in a loving foster home with multiple animals and children, and she has been nothing short of wonderful. One of her favorite parts of the day is waking up and finding the kids so she can snuggle with them. The bond she has formed with the children in her foster home is incredibly sweet to see. The kids absolutely adore her, and the feeling is mutual. She is happiest when she is surrounded by her people, soaking up attention and sharing all the affection she has to give. This sweet girl lives up to her name every single day. She loves cuddles, pets, belly rubs, and being close to the people she loves. If you’re sitting on the couch, chances are Lovebug will happily curl up beside you for a cozy movie night. If you’re having a quiet morning, she’ll be right there enjoying every minute of your company. She doesn’t need constant excitement to be happy—she simply enjoys being with her family. Lovebug also has a playful and fun side. She enjoys spending time with her people, exploring, and joining in on everyday activities. She has a wonderful balance of being playful when it’s time for fun and calm when it’s time to relax. She is the kind of dog who can make an ordinary day feel special just by being there. Her foster family reports that she is doing very well with both house training and potty training. She is a smart girl who is eager to learn and continues to make great progress. She has settled beautifully into foster care and has shown everyone what an amazing companion she can be. One of the most special things about Lovebug is how naturally she fits into family life. Whether she is spending time with children, relaxing with adults, or sharing her home with other animals, she approaches life with a loving and gentle spirit. She has so much affection to give and is ready to share it with a forever family of her own. Lovebug isn’t looking for anything extravagant. Her dream is simple: a family to love, a cozy place to cuddle, and people who will cherish her as much as she will cherish them. In return, she’ll provide endless snuggles, loyal companionship, happy tail wags, and enough love to fill your home every single day. If you’ve been waiting for a sweet, affectionate, family-friendly dog who truly lives up to her name, Lovebug is ready to meet you. She has already captured the hearts of everyone in her foster home, and she’s waiting for the lucky family who gets to love her forever. Lovebug is more than just a dog—she’s a best friend, a cuddle buddy, a family member, and a whole lot of love wrapped up in one adorable package. https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/69fe395d0f0561a03c06839e Questions? Story
Honey has perfected the art of being exactly where she belongs- curled up in a lap, ready for free snackies, and soaking up affection in exactly the way she was born to! Sweet, gentle, and wonderfully easy to love, Honey makes herself at home in your heart immediately! Estimated to be around 5 years old, weighing a perfectly portable 12 pounds, and looking very much like a Chihuahua mix, Honey is a rescue though, so breed and age are simply our best guess. What we know for certain is that she is an affectionate little companion whose favorite place in the world is right alongside her people. Go watch Honey Bee Your Heart on YouTube, then come right back to read more about this darling girl. https://youtu.be/tE_YfKehx0I Honey is currently thriving in a loving foster home where she lives with other dogs and has settled in beautifully. She is house trained, crate trained, and has earned rave reviews for being an easy, enjoyable little housemate, she even mastered the doggie door on day one! The word her foster keeps coming back to is loving. Honey genuinely seems happiest when she can be close to her people, whether that's curled up beside you on the couch, following you adoringly like a devoted fan, or claiming a cozy lap for a relaxing evening. She was also sweet and gentle when meeting a five-year-old child, showing the same soft, easygoing nature that makes her such a lovely companion overall. Honey gets along well with other dogs and happily coexists with them but the truth is-Honey is very much a people-focused girl. She enjoys canine company but does not rely on other dogs for confidence or entertainment. She would be perfectly happy as an only dog soaking up all the attention, or joining a home with respectful canine companions of any shape or size. Honey also met our house cat and approached the introduction with the sweetest caution. Her approach was undoubtedly more in avoiding conflict than creating it. We could easily see her living successfully with calm, respectful cats who appreciate a peaceful roommate and will not take advantage of her cautious approach. She's not looking to chase, pester, or stir up drama. Her preference is simply to coexist and go about her day. Honey isn't searching for adventure, excitement, or a packed social calendar. She's searching for a family to love. A lap to claim. A few snacks to enjoy. A soft bed, a steady routine, and people who will appreciate what a truly special, adoring little companion she is. If you've been hoping for a sweet, affectionate best friend who will happily spend her days loving you right back, Honey is ready and waiting for you. Apply today and welcome home your new favorite cuddle buddy! https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6a05e60bee0954ab6502e5b7 Questions? Story
Spicy is an 8-year-old (approximate) Chihuahua who was rescued from a hoarding situation and is looking for a very special home that understands him and will love him for exactly who he is. True to his name, Spicy has a big personality packed into a tiny body! He is a quirky little guy who prefers men and tends to take a long time to warm up to women sometimes several months. Building trust with Spicy requires patience, consistency, and plenty of treats. Spicy has some unique preferences when it comes to affection. He actually prefers firm, confident touch, while gentle petting can overstimulate him and make him uncomfortable. Spicy will never run up and bite. He will advise when he wants to be picked up by jumping on your leg. We let Spicy decide when he wants affection, and when he’s ready, he’ll happily jump into your lap for cuddles. When he’s had enough, he’ll let you know with his adorable vocalizations before scampering off to do his own thing. Spicy is a good listener and follows direction. He sleeps in his kennel overnight and knows that is his safe space.  He gets along well with cats and other dogs, although Spicy firmly believes he’s the biggest dog in the house! He can do well with a calm, submissive canine companion who respects his space. Spicy is housetrained but may mark indoors if left unsupervised, so he’ll need a home willing to help manage this behavior. The quickest way to Spicy’s heart is through food. He absolutely loves treats and takes them very gently. Food is the key to earning his trust and building a lasting bond. Spicy isn’t the right fit for every home, but for someone willing to understand his unique personality and give him the time he needs. He will be a loyal and entertaining companion. He deserves a patient adopter who sees past his spicy exterior and appreciates the special little dog underneath. We prefer a household with no small children.    PLEASE READ THIS TO ADOPT: ***ALL ANIMALS ARE CURRENTLY IN LONG BEACH, MISSISSIPPI.*** We transport adopted animals every 2-3 weeks to Northeast states.  Completed applications take precedence over inquiries. If you are interested in adopting, the FIRST step is to complete an application.  We will discuss additional details with potential adopters once we have an application on file.  For Pet's Sake Rescue is a Mississippi based rescue. Story
Mystery Jane is so tiny that she regularly causes people to do a double take. Seriously. This little girl isn't even a whole six pounds and somehow manages to make even people with small hands look like they have giant hands LOL. Between the dainty little body, the adorable prancing walk, and the fact that she absolutely loves being held like a baby, Mystery feels less like a dog and more like a tiny little collectible that somehow came to life. The best part? Unlike some tiny dogs that think they run the world, Mystery is incredibly sweet, gentle, and cuddly. She is the type of puppy that immediately makes people start talking in a baby voice without even realizing it. Watch her video and prepare to become emotionally attached to the tiniest little office assistant you've ever seen: https://youtu.be/HU6k9L-UO8M?si=HUNTkkbD2g6SBDOL Mystery Jane is believed to be a Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher mix approximately 5 months old and currently weighs just 5.4 lbs. She is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. What we CAN guarantee though is that this little lady has somehow managed to pack an unbelievable amount of sweetness into a body the size of a sandwich. Mystery absolutely adores people. She is affectionate, cuddly, and one of those puppies that seems happiest when she's being held close or curled up next to her favorite human. One of her favorite things is being carried around like a baby and honestly? She looks perfectly content living that lifestyle forever LOL. She has a very soft sweet nature about her and is the kind of puppy that makes people instantly fall in love. Despite her tiny size, Mystery has done wonderfully with other dogs. She is currently being fostered with a 60 lb Pittie mix that happens to be blind and deaf, and watching their friendship develop has been ridiculously sweet. At first she was a little shy about the size difference, which honestly feels pretty reasonable considering he outweighs her by approximately a million pounds. But after just a few days she was cuddling with him on the couch, following him around, and even engaging in little games of play together. When she does play, she has a very gentle and dainty play style. No body slamming, no chaos, no wrestling championships. Just sweet little puppy interactions. Mystery has also done great meeting other dogs. She can be a little shy during introductions, especially with dogs that are two or three times her size, but she handles it beautifully. She doesn't bark, lunge, or make a scene. It's almost like she's politely introducing herself and quietly saying, "I'd love to be friends, but please remember I am extremely tiny." Because of this, we think she would do wonderfully with dogs both big and small. For larger dogs, we'd simply want them to be respectful and gentle rather than rough-and-rowdy playmates. Mystery has also met our house cat Biggie and met him appropriately and was very respectful around him. She did not chase Biggie, nor was she bothered by Biggie jumping or doing what cats do. Biggie also felt comfortable around her as well. We do not know if she has ever lived in a home before with a cat and this was our first time seeing her with a cat. If you have a cat in the home, we can arrange for her to have a sleepover with a cat upon request. Just let us know! Mystery is crate trained and foster says she is as quiet as a mouse in her kennel. In fact, she's generally just a very quiet little dog overall. She is also doing great with potty training. As a young puppy she may need occasional reminders in a new environment and could have an accident here or there while adjusting, but she already has a solid understanding of where she's supposed to go potty and continues to make great progress. One of the cutest things about Mystery is how adaptable she is. She walks nicely on leash if you'd like to take her on neighborhood strolls, but she's also so tiny that carrying her around is a completely reasonable option too LOL. She even accompanies her foster to the office sometimes and has proven herself to be an excellent employee. She quietly hangs out, sits next to her foster while she works, and occasionally doubles as the world's cutest desk decoration. Honestly, her productivity may be questionable but her morale-boosting skills are unmatched. Energy-wise, Mystery strikes a really nice balance. She has playful puppy moments, enjoys exploring, and likes spending time with other dogs, but she's also perfectly happy curling up in your lap afterward for a nap. She's not demanding, she's not wild, and she has a wonderfully easygoing personality for such a young puppy. At the end of the day, Mystery is the kind of puppy people dream about finding. She's tiny, sweet, cuddly, dog friendly, quiet, and incredibly well-rounded. If you're looking for a little companion that can tag along to work, cuddle on the couch, make friends with everyone she meets, and fit comfortably in your arms while doing it, Mystery might just be your perfect match. We are willing to test Mystery Jane with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Meet Lana Turner! 💕🐾 This elegant 7-year-old Chihuahua is the full package: sweet, gentle, and quietly devoted. Lana is a calm soul who enjoys the simple things in life—soft blankets, warm laps, and kind company. She has experience living with other dogs and could easily settle into a quiet home with another mellow canine companion. Whether you live in a cozy apartment or a quiet house, Lana’s easygoing nature makes her the perfect roommate. A true lap dog at heart, Lana loves nothing more than soaking up affection and being close to her person. She’d be an ideal match for a singleton or an older adult looking for a gentle, loving companion. Lana Turner is ready for her next act—one filled with love, snuggles, and a soft spot on the couch. Could she be your perfect match? Application: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6875ac791ec55200180ae2e9 Questions? Email Stephanie@threelittlepittiesrescue.org We facilitate adoptions across the US through our own internal transport to ensure the quality of care. We travel to WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT and Canada (Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA  or Brattleboro, VT for the eastern Canadian border)! Our pups travel in comfort with 24/7 care on our USDA licensed vehicles, including buses and cargo vans. You can join along on our private Facebook event page to follow their adventure, connecting you with other adopters and providing updates throughout their transport journey!   You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience!    The adoption fee is $1,200 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!    We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.    Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!    Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.   Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.    The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs.   It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:   Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family  Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions  70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer  Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup!   Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option.
