Peanut has a big dog personality and if he sees other dogs, he gets super excited, and the yipping sounds scary, but he just wants to play!! He's a nipper and he likes to jump on you out of excitement and although he LOVES kids, he should be in.a home with older kids Peanut is still young, and has plenty of energy to play and run.He has been known to be a runner- He will take off and think, it's a GAME and it will be hard to catch him, so careful at the doors nd fences ;) But smart sweet pup loves kisses and lay on your lap . He walks good on a leash i put 2 one on harness and collar since I don't want him to get loose. (harnesses are too easy to get out of, so a martingale collar is his best collar) He can upset a bigger or smaller dog if they don't have a tolerance for nippiness.In the face kinda of thing he loved to play and he runs super fast lol 😆 they would have to be extra careful that he never gets out of front.Door or takes off he laughing fast 😅 Poor little guy almost got run over on these big streets all alone, and we NEVER want that to happen to him again. So now you know more about the firecracker named Peanut. He is a doll!! ADOPT....DON'T SHOP!! Local adoption fee is $300(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Sometimes a name just fits, and Precious is definitely one of those dogs. At 10 years young, she's a sweet, gentle, low-energy girl who can be timid at first, but give her a little time and her affectionate personality begins to shine. Precious gets along wonderfully with other dogs and has settled right into her foster pack (3 large dogs and 2 other chihuahuas) she's even starting to play a little! She loves being near her person—curling up beside her foster mom while she works or occasionally deciding they should share the office chair. She enjoys cuddles but is also perfectly content relaxing on her own. Once Precious bonds with you, she becomes your little lookout and will alert you when she hears something unfamiliar. She's shy with new visitors and just needs a little time to warm up. She's crate trained, walks well and has the cutest little prance. She gets around great and even uses a stool to hop onto the bed. Precious is also discovering TREATS—and she's a big fan! She's got quite the nose for people food, too. One exception: peanut butter is unacceptable. Precious has standards. She's still working on potty training and will let you know when she needs a nighttime potty break. She has no known pre-existing medical conditions. Precious may be 10, but she's still discovering new things and showing us more of her personality every day. She's looking for a patient, loving home where she can enjoy plenty of cozy spots, treats (hold the peanut butter!) and companionship. Sweet, gentle and just a little shy—that's our Precious. We are a bunch of happy, playful, and slightly clumsy little puppies who are always ready for our next adventure! We love to wrestle, chase each other around, and play with toys. We’re still figuring out how all these legs are supposed to work, so there may be a few adorable puppy tumbles along the way! Our mama is a 10-pound Chihuahua mix, and Dad is a mystery, so we can’t say exactly what we’ll grow up to be. But we expect to stay small-sized, making us the perfect little companions for a family looking for plenty of puppy fun in a smaller package. We’re ready to find families who will give us lots of love, patience, playtime, and cuddles while we grow into our very best selves. Meet Giselle! She is a 12 week old chihuahua puppy mix and she is one of the most precious dogs I've encountered in my 8+ years of fostering dogs. My friend adopted her right when she arrived in the shelter and unfortunately had an unexpected allergic reaction so I've been fostering her ever since. She has all the puppy energy and loves to run around, but will also not let you take a nap unless she is snuggled into the blanket with you. She is definitely on the anxious side - she was originally not great on the leash and was scared of some outdoor noises but has already gotten so much better. She LOVES belly rubs and is currently obsessed with snuggling on our new blanket (pictured above). Potty training is in the works and we've made a lot of process already. This girl will make the most wonderful loving pet for someone - please reach out with any questions!

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Nacho was origionally rescued from a bad hoarding situation along with several others and had NO socialization (they lived like wild animals). Nacho was one of the lucky ones who was adopted into a great home butt sadly his owner became unable to care for him & we were asked to take him. Nacho has anxiety issues in new situations that he is unfamiliar with. When it becomes an every day thing, he is more comfortable with it. He pees just about every time he gets excited about anything. New people, being scolded, a new venue, greeting us when we come home, even waiting for me to fix his food! He does not like getting his feet wet or cold and does not like being rained on. Noises still bother him, like thunder, the planes that fly over, motorcycles, loud cars, and any beeping sound like microwave or oven.  Nacho is really good on a leash and he and Max will walk together side-by-side. He loves for us to go out with him in the yard. Nacho is very sweet and now lets us get close to him, give him a kiss and put our hands over his head to hook his leash without cowering. He loves being rubbed and snoozing on a lap. He now sleeps very soundly and likes to be covered with a blanket at night. Nacho has not been exposed to children while with us but I don’t think small children would be a good idea because of his suspected breed (Chi mix) and jealousy. Nacho seems to like a companion and had to be taught that Max was here and there was no room for jealousy. He has learned tolerance, manners, and to slow down his eating.  Nacho’s new adopter will need to understand and be willing to invest time to ensure that he adapts to a new household, acclimates to a new life and is given time to learn new routines without being punished for not meeting whatever standards they have set ahead of time. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 29, 2026, 6:27 pm
