Story
Hi, I’m Leah, a 7-year-old Chihuahua who loves to be loved!  At 9 pounds, I’m easy to find space for - both in your home and in your heart.  My vision is limited thanks to cataracts but once I get the lay of the land, I can navigate just fine.  I’m a little shy at first but it doesn’t take long for me to melt into love and kindness when I feel it! Favorite Things: Leah loves kisses and gentle pets, and scooching under the covers in her dog bed. Snuggling with her blanket is just one of her favorite things!  She can take or leave toys and while she’s curious about other dogs, she doesn’t interact much.  Training & Manners: Leah is housetrained in her foster home where she is let out on a regular schedule. She will even let you know when she needs to go out. She has lovely house manners but will need help acclimating to leash walks and car rides. She sleeps soundly in her dog bed at night. Health & Care: Leah is up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, spayed, and recently had a dental cleaning. She’ll just need her monthly flea and heartworm preventatives, like any pup. Regular baths and nail trims will keep this gentle lady looking and feeling her best. Other Animals: Leah has experience with other small dogs and pretty much ignores them. She has not been tested with cats, but her foster mom suspects she would do fine. Children: This sweet girl has not had experience with children in her foster home. Ideal Home: Leah isn’t picky and would do fine in an apartment, condo, townhouse or single home.  She can be left alone in the home for a few hours without issues. Overall: If you have room in your heart and home for a sweet Chihuahua who is ready to offer gentle companionship, Leah might be the one for you. If you think she might be, visit www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org to fill out an adoption application. If it seems like it could be a good match, her foster family will reach out with more information. The adoption donation is $300. ##2758262##

Story
***Bonded –Sheila and Shiloh are bonded and must be adopted together.*** Hi, we’re Sheila and Shiloh — a tiny duo with twice the love to give. We’re a 4 year old bonded brother and sister Chihuahua pair looking for a forever home where we can stay side by side. Our favorite things? Being near our people, curling up in soft snuggly spots, and moving through the day together. Affectionate, playful, and perfectly in sync, we’re ready to bring double the sweetness to one lucky home. Sheila: I’m Sheila! Don’t let my 5.6 pounds fool you—I’m full of charm in a very small package. I’m a cheerful greeter, a devoted little shadow, and a cuddlebug who loves being picked up and adored. I enjoy following my people, staying close to Shiloh, and nestling into comfy corners when it’s time to relax. I may be small, but I bring plenty of sparkle and a social butterfly spirit wherever I go. Shiloh: I’m Shiloh! I’m an 8.2 lb Chihuahua with a calm, loving nature and a quietly confident personality once I settle in. I appreciate life’s simple pleasures—a cozy lap, short strolls, and time outside to sniff and explore. I’m a little shyer and happiest spending time with Sheila and keeping our people company. Favorite Things:Sheila: Sheila loves toys, cozy beds with covers she can burrow into, and treat-based activities like snuffle mats or scatter feeding. She enjoys being outside in a safe yard and is happiest when she can stay near her people and Shiloh. Shiloh: Shiloh is less toy-focused but loves food enrichment, slow feeders, snuffle mats, and scatter feeding in the yard. He enjoys short walks, laps, lounging nearby, and spending relaxed time with Sheila and his humans. Training and Manners:Sheila and Shiloh are puppy pad trained and do well with regular outdoor breaks. They have solid household manners and a good foundation of knowing basic commands. Shiloh responds to his name and appears to know “stay,” while Sheila is continuing to build confidence with new cues. They both are great car riders too. At night, they settle together in a secure space and rest peacefully. They may briefly bark when their person leaves but settle quickly. Both are food-motivated, making continued training easy and rewarding. Health & Care:They are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. Monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventatives will keep them on track. Both are healthy with simple grooming routines, including baths and regular nail care. Other Animals:Sheila and Shiloh do well with dogs of various sizes, especially those with similar, easygoing energy. They’ve also lived with a cat and remained calm and non-reactive, without barking or chasing. Thoughtful introductions help them adjust smoothly to new companions. Children:They are great with children. Due to their small size, they would do best in a home with respectful kids (8+) who understand gentle handling. Ideal Home:They’re looking for a forever home where they can continue providing comfort and confidence to one another. Condo, townhome or single family home living will work for this tiny duo. Access to a secure outdoor area is a plus. Most of all, they want a home filled with love, routine, and cozy places to settle in. Overall:Sheila and Shiloh are a loving pair with sweet personalities and wonderful manners. Sheila brings joyful wiggles, kisses, and playful charm, while Shiloh offers steady companionship and quiet loyalty. Together, they’re two tiny Chihuahuas with big hearts, ready to fill a home with warmth, comfort, and double the love. Does this dynamic duo sound like the perfect fit? Submit an application at poodleandpoochrescue.org, and their foster family will be in touch if it’s a match. The adoption donation for both is $600. ##2746184##
