Story
Birdie is a sweet by shy chihuahua mix that I rescued 7 years ago when she was abandoned. I had 2 other rescues, and she kept herself pretty private but did get along with the other dogs. She's reserved and cautious, and continues to prefer snuggling on her person to watch tv or simply sit and spend time. She's not very active. She enjoys the safety of her kennel/crate and does really well in them. She is potty trained and goes each time she's let out, but she does have accidents especially when a noise or sudden large movement scares her. She's small, so the potty mess is also small. She was taken into the vet for a couple of benign tummy tumors to be removed and her dental work taken care of 4 years ago. All but 2 of her teeth were removed. She does not need/want a special diet, as she would not eat wet food! She prefers to simply graze on dry food and loves chewy treats.

Dakota is an adorable pup with the sweetest face and cutest speckled markings! She is an energetic gal who will be a great fit for an active family! She would love to have another playful dog in her forever home. She absolutely LOVES to play and will bring you her toys and wait for you to throw them. Tug of war? Running? Fetch? She's game for anything! She'd be a ton of fun for someone who likes to hike or do agility. She is a very smart girl but a little stubborn, so consistency is key when it comes to her training! Dakota is a little shy around new people but has really blossomed in her foster home! She absolutely adores belly rubs, head scratches, and getting allll the attention. With positive training and reassurance in her foster home, she has started warming up to new people much more quickly than before. Patience is key when it comes to winning over this sweet girl! Dakota does great in her kennel and is 100% potty trained. She gets along with other dogs and all people, including kids. She does like to herd cats and play with them, so she'd do best in a home without any shy or scared kitties. She'd do just fine with a very outgoing, playful cat. She absolutely LOVES her ring toy and will be your BFF if you throw toys and let her catch them! Dakota is looking for her person or family to love, play with and snuggle with on the couch. She is truly a very sweet and fun dog who just wants to be loved and play all day!

Story
Chico, who his fosters call "Old Man," is looking for his furever retirement home. Old Man is a sweet boy who, despite his age, still loves a good game of chase! He is still working on his potty training but is getting better each day! This little guy loves to hop around the table when his people are eating, which is just the cutest. He gets along well with all of his foster fur siblings. He has been around a toddler and did ok with her as well. His ideal home would probably have older children, though, since he's a mellow guy who does enjoy a nice nap.
