You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Adoption Application link: http://crest-care.net/forms.htmMeet Shasta and Rio, a bonded pair, fostered in CA: Through no fault of their own, this adorable pair has entered into rescue and need a new home.  They are a bonded pair about 5 years old.  They eat together, sleep together and play together.  Their favorite activity is to sit with their pet parent in a recliner.  Rio likes to snuggle between his human’s knees and Shasta wants to lay beside.  These two darlings are house trained and rarely have accidents. They are large dogs; they weigh in just shy of 18 pounds.  Shasta is purebred, but her papers did not follow her.  Rio joined the family as a puppy and Shasta is the only sibling he has ever known before circumstances put him into a foster home.   Shasta is a powder puff who is used to being groomed in a pony cut.  She loves to lay and have her mane brushed. She is also well-behaved during grooming.  She isn’t fond of sharing her human with anyone except Rio, but she does respond to a firm no, or being removed from the chair when she gets crabby towards other dogs.  Shasta loves to lay on her person’s stomach and be cuddled.  She chooses her person according to where they are sitting.  As mentioned before, she loves recliners.  She can sit, stay and walks well on a leash.  She is an adorable and loving pet. Rio is a hairless male.  His only needs his face trimmed occasionally.  He is very much a Velcro dog.  He will follow you everywhere and want to be with you all the time.  He loves to be in a lap and he is not as picky about chairs as Shasta. He is loving and just wants to be cuddled.  He wants to sleep in the bed with his humans, but is just as happy sleeping beside the bed.  He has used a crate, but is not fond of it.  Best of all, he is house trained.  He has very few accidents in the house and all of those were related to human busy-ness, not doggy marking or disobedience. Both dogs are good eaters. Shasta was reluctant to eat anything crunchy at first but quickly adjusted to a kibble with a gravy topper. It is home cooked, but she will also eat canned food as a topper.  Shasta should not eat chicken as it causes rashes on her belly.  Rio has no such restrictions or preferences.  He just doesn’t want to miss a meal.  Both will sit for treats, although Rio finds it hard to be patient.  Rio and Shasta have lived in a home with cats.  They were able to adjust, but as it was a short-term situation it may take time for them to warm up to cats.  They both love visiting children, especially if those children bring tasty treats. In short, this is a ready-made family, they just need a new home.  They like males as well as females.  They like car rides.  They are a happy little pair as long as they are together.  They would love for the perfect home to open up for them.  They are up to date on all of their shots and have had consistent vetting through their lives.
