Story
Meet Linda, a 7-year-old female Chihuahua mix.Linda is small at only 9 pounds but with a much larger attitude. Linda thinks she is a boss and we like to let her keep thinking that. She does great on her leash and is fun to watch trot around the yard like she owns the place. This pet is available for adoption at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. If you recognize this animal please contact the adoption center at 509-457-6854.If you are interested in adopting this pet please fill out an adoption questionnaire at www.yakimahumane.org. A Yakima Humane Society staff member will contact you once your questionnaire has been processed. Adopters are welcome to visit the adoption center Monday-Saturday. A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal's picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known. Adding a pet to your family is a big responsibility. Please research carefully and remember that adoption is life saving. Adopt Don't Shop.

Story
Meet Allison, a 2-month-old female Chi/Cocker Spaniel. Allison and her siblings were surrendered to the adoption center as part of the My Last Litter program. Dad is known to be a Cocker Spaniel- Poodle and Mom is a Chihuahua mix. These little ones are super cute and very well socialized. They love to get cuddles and are not big fans of being alone. They would like homes that have plenty of time for them and may enjoy having K9 companionship. Please remember that Allison is a puppy and puppy behavior comes with the package. They need basic training and potty training along with being provided chew toys to encourage proper chewing habits. All puppies require socializing from a young age to help them become the best, most well-rounded dog they can be.If you are interested in adopting this pet please fill out an adoption questionnaire at www.yakimahumane.org. A Yakima Humane Society staff member will contact you once your questionnaire has been processed. Adopters are welcome to visit the adoption center Monday-Saturday.
