Bio: Mags is a very special girl who appears shy when you first meet her and warms up soon after. Mags is a total lapdog. She enjoys sitting on your lap when you are watching TV. Mags enjoys watching everything that's happening outside the window. She's currently part of the neighborhood watch program. Mags is the most well-behaved dog I have ever fostered. She gets along with both males and females and other dogs. She seldom barks and has no food aggression or issues with other dogs or people. She eats well and loves treats. The best environment for Mags would be a quiet loving home. Mags just wants someone to love and cuddle with on a sofa. Mags said to tell you that she also loves riding in the car. If you stop for a burger and an ice cream once in a while, that would be great too!

It’s in the dogs/puppies best interest to be placed into their furever homes in a timely manner. All household members must attend the meet and greet. Ok, you read this right. Ms. Prim is a designer breed…a ChiPit. The funniest looking puppy to hit the adoptable list in a long time! She has a Chihuahua size body with the typical bug eyes and long legs of a (Pit??). She’s a little nugget of goodness though and lives for the attention of her humans. Coming in at a whopping 15lbs, she’s the perfect size for any lifestyle. She enjoys romping around with her foster siblings doing zoomies, but then settles right in next to her humans to take well deserved snuggles & naps. Prim will go in her crate and while its not her favorite place to be, she does settle in and does well with a bone and some toys. Don’t pass on this sweet girl, she’s going to make someone VERY happy and is sure to be the hit of the Dog Park.

Name: Bear (aka Little Bear or Bear Bear) Age: approximately 8 years Breed (as listed on paperwork): Chihuahua Yorkie Mix Gender: Male Weight: 15lbs Altered: Yes Crate Trained: doing great Housebroke: yes Good with kids: yes Good with dogs: yes Good with cats: yes Foster location: Wisconsin Rapids, WI Fee: $150 that includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations at the time of adoption, microchip and health certificate. Please apply for me at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HFAH/Dog (403644-DS) **Meet and greets for approved applicants must happen within 3 days or the closest weekend (for long travelers). It’s in the dogs/puppies best interest to be placed into their furever homes in a timely fashion. All household members must attend the meet and greet. I’m Bear, or Little Bear, as my foster family likes to call me. I previously lived in Illinois with my dad and then moved to Wisconsin. A couple months ago my dad had to go into assisted living so I was placed in foster care. It was a tough decision for my dad, but he could no longer take care of me. While I might have come from the Bears’ state, I can easily be swayed to follow the Green and Gold of Wisconsin! My foster mom says I have been quite shy and I have attached myself to her and my human foster sister. I love to be where they are as it makes me feel safe. It took a few days for me to settle in and feel comfortable enough to eat. I have been really good in the house as I have not had any accidents. I was never in a crate and always slept with my dad so my foster mama helped with the transition by allowing me to sleep with her at night and she says I am a champ. I love to burrow myself in the covers and prefer to sleep to the right of her. I sleep well all night long. During the day, my foster mom wasn’t sure how I would be in the house so I have been learning to crate. I find it to be a safe place and sometimes snuggle up with my blanket and new pet bed even during the day. I am quite picky when it comes to eating so my foster mom kept me on FreshPet since I had gotten used to that. I am typically quiet, but am beginning to find my voice. Speaking of voice, when my foster sister sings I like to be the back-up music. Maybe someday we can do a duet together?. I am starting to be a little more active. I will spin in circles when I am excited and sometimes chase my tail. I get along with other dogs (big and small) and cats, however if they are in my face I will let them know I do not like it. My favorite place to be is with my foster mom or my human foster sister who is 8. I love to snuggle and be held, in fact I like it so much that my favorite place to be is on a lap. I also love to go for walks and do well on a leash. While my foster mom says I am a good boy, I have had no previous training so I am learning to sit and come when called. She feels I would do best in a quiet or lower key home that has a fenced in yard (I can be flight risk at first as transitions scare me) or where my humans will take me for regular walks. Car rides make me nervous but I am getting better at them. I am used to going to a groomer every 6-8 weeks. I do great for the groomer and I am a champ when it comes to clipping my nails. While I do well with kids, I think I would prefer kids that are a little bit older (6+). I would be fine with another dog/cat or as an only pet. If you are willing to give me the time I need to feel at home and could be my perfect forever family, fill out an application today! I can’t wait to watch those Packer games with you!
