Meet Elon! Elon is a sweet 1.5 year old Chihuahua/Jack Russell mix weighing about 18 lbs. This boy came from a severe hoarding situation, so the world is still a bit overwhelming for him. He’s learning what it means to be safe, loved, and part of a family — and he needs someone willing to take that journey with him. Elon is very food motivated and that has been a huge help in building trust and working on training. He is not fully housebroken yet, but we are actively working on it. Like many small dogs, he can be a little stubborn, so patience and consistency will be important. He does wonderfully with other dogs and cats and actually seems to take comfort in their presence. He will approach his people on his own terms and has already started to show glimpses of his gentle, affectionate personality. With time, love, and understanding, Elon will continue to bloom. If you have a quiet home, a kind heart, and a desire to help a deserving pup find his confidence, Elon may be your match. She came from the same severe hoarding situation as Friday, and while she shares many of the same sweet qualities, she is the shyer of the two. With each passing day, though, she’s becoming a little braver and a little more open to love. Ketrina enjoys quiet companionship, gentle scratches, and observing the world from a cozy, safe spot. She’s still learning what it means to be part of a caring family, so she’ll need someone patient, understanding, and willing to move at her pace. She is not fully housebroken yet, but progress is being made. Like many small dogs, she can be a bit stubborn, so consistency and positive reinforcement will be important. Ketrina does wonderfully with other dogs and cats, and she often feels more comfortable with furry friends around. She will approach people when she’s ready and has started showing touches of her tender, affectionate personality. Ketrina is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and up to date on preventative care. She’s learning what it means to be safe, loved, and part of a family — and she needs someone patient and kind to help her continue that journey.
