Lily (born around November of 2024) is a chihuahua mix who was surrendered to the municipal shelter along with 28 other chihuahuas from a local hoarding case. She was transferred to Safe Haven along with two of the other male chihuahuas her same age. She is a bit shy and takes a little while to warm up to new people, but once she has made friends, she loves to go for walks and give kisses and cuddles. Lily is looking for a forever family who will be patient with her shyness as she learns the rules of living in a home.

Lalo (born around August of 2015) is a chihuahua mix who came to Safe Haven after he was surrendered with his housemate, Lola. Both Lalo and Lola love to go for walks with our staff and volunteers, but they especially love sitting in laps and getting pets from any human who is willing. Lalo is looking for a forever home who will provide lots of affection and safety and security in his golden years.Note: Lalo and Lola are a bonded pair and must be adopted together.

Story
Oscar (born around October of 2023) is an active, social, and playful brown dachshund mix. He was picked up as a stray and brought to the community shelter before being transferred to Safe Haven. Oscar is very shy with strangers but seems to warm up quickly after each introduction. He loves to use his excellent `sniffer` on walks around the sanctuary property, and he greatly enjoys using his abilities to search for treats in our ball pit.
