Story
Meet Lily: A Sweet and Social Little SidekickLily is a beautiful 5½-year-old white and red long-haired Chihuahua with a bright personality and a loving spirit. Unlike her best friend Meeko, Lily is quick to make new friends and loves soaking up attention from the people around her. Whether she's being held, strolling alongside you on a walk, or joining you for a car ride, Lily is happiest when she's spending time with her favorite humans.Lily and Meeko share a very special bond and have been constant companions. She helps bring confidence to Meeko when he's feeling unsure, and together they make a wonderful pair. Lily is accustomed to living with other small dogs and enjoys their company, although larger dogs can sometimes be overwhelming for her. With her affectionate nature, gentle charm, and love of companionship, Lily is sure to win hearts wherever she goes. She and Meeko are looking for a forever family willing to open their home to twice the love, twice the cuddles, and a lifelong friendship that deserves to stay together."We're so excited you're interested in adopting a new furry friend! To help us find the perfect match for you and our animals, we're pre-approving applicants. Here's how it works:Please start by filling out our adoption application: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=rz1556&method=online_form_html&formid=6This helps us learn more about you, including which animal you're interested in, your family, any other pets you have, your living situation (owning or renting), and your veterinarian. We understand that if you don't currently have pets, you won't have a vet reference. In that case, we kindly ask for a personal reference instead. Why we ask these questions:We want to make sure we find the best possible fit for both you and the animal. For renters, we need to confirm with your landlord that pets are allowed, as unfortunately, many landlords in Franklin County have restrictions.Checking with your veterinarian helps us ensure that our animals receive the ongoing medical care they deserve. What happens next:Once we receive positive references from your landlord (if applicable) and veterinarian (or personal reference), we'll contact you to schedule an appointment if you're interested in adopting a dog.If you're looking for a feline friend, you're welcome to come in anytime during our open hours!Important information:Adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis, based on the date your application is approved. We're truly grateful for the overwhelming interest in our animals! Our staff is working diligently to approve applications as quickly as possible. While it may take a few days, most applications are approved sooner.Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to find loving homes for our wonderful animals!"
