Zoey’s story didn’t begin the way she deserved. This tiny 5lb. senior Chihuahua came to rescue blind, frightened, and carrying the weight of a life that wasn’t always kind. But every day, she’s showing us something remarkable: the incredible resilience of a dog who has decided to trust again.
Zoey isn’t looking for adventure, she’s looking for peace.
Her favorite things are soft blankets, cozy naps, constant pets, and simply being close to the people she loves. Once she feels safe, she’ll happily melt into your arms or curl up beside you for hours. Her little tail has started wagging more often, she's following her nose when the scent of food is around, and every sign of trust feels like a victory worth celebrating.
Being blind doesn’t slow Zoey down nearly as much as you’d think. She learns her surroundings quickly, follows familiar voices, and navigates life with her nose, her ears, and a quiet confidence that grows a more every day. Now that she has had her dental needs cared for as well, she is feeling healthy and strong! All she asks is a predictable home and someone patient enough to let her discover that she’s finally truly safe.
Zoey would thrive in a calm home where she can enjoy the simple things in life. She’s well past the puppy stage, past the chaos, and past the need to prove anything. She simply wants to spend her golden years being cherished.

Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs over 9 months), FIV/FeLV test (cats - one in the litter), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration).
Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.
