Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Girly Pop Sweet, sassy, and smart—Girly Pop is a 1- to 2-year-old female Chihuahua mix weighing about 11-12 lbs. She was found as a stray near the Biloxi YMCA and it took a full week to safely capture her. Now she’s ready for a loving home to call her own. About Girly Pop Breed: Chihuahua mix Age: 1–2 years old Weight: ~11–12 lbs Gender: Female (unaltered) Heartworm Status: Positive (currently in treatment) Location: Gulfport/Biloxi, MS (Local Adoption Only) Girly Pop is a clever little escape artist who can jump or wiggle her way out of enclosures and even slip a leash, so a secure yard and someone willing to work with her are a must. She’s a chewer at times but overall a very loving, intelligent dog who craves attention and cuddles. She’s great with other dogs of all sizes and enjoys their company. With people, she warms up nicely—she’ll often roll over to show her belly—but she can be startled if handled roughly. She has had incidents of nipping when scared or jealous, so a calm, experienced home would be best. She’s not fully housebroken yet (she still has accidents at night) but is crate- and baby-gate trained for when left alone. She can be left for up to eight hours, though she loves to be near her people when possible. Ideal Home Girly Pop would do well in a home with another friendly dog to play with and someone who enjoys a little spunky personality in a small package. Because she’s an escape artist and startles easily, a home with secure fencing and no small children would be ideal. Adoption Info Girly Pop is heartworm-positive and currently undergoing treatment. She’s available for local adoption only through Tired Dog Rescue. If you’re ready to give this sweet, intelligent little girl the safe and loving home she deserves, please apply with Tired Dog Rescue.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 8, 2025, 3:44 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Chica – Your Tiny Dictator in a Dog Costume At just 8 pounds, Chica is somehow both too small to be taken seriously and entirely in charge of your household. She didn’t come here to make friends—she came here to steal your lap, your snacks, and your unwavering loyalty. Chica is a 10-year-old brindle Chihuahua with more attitude than a Real Housewife on a three-day juice cleanse. She’s allergic to drama (and a couple other things—more on that later), and she’s not about to share her spotlight with other pets. This girl is strictly a one-human show. But here’s the plot twist: underneath that spicy exterior is a snuggly little ride-or-die. Once she trusts you, she’ll follow you around like a fuzzy bodyguard with trust issues. She’s loyal, loving, and lowkey hilarious—especially if you find joy in watching a tiny gremlin yell at the wind. Chica does best in a calm, adult-only home where the vibes are chill and the snacks are plentiful. Loud noises, sudden movements, and chaos? Hard pass. Other animals? Not unless they pay rent and respect her boundaries. Medical Notes: Chica has some skin sensitivities (allergic dermatitis and pododermatitis), but they’re manageable with routine care and a little TLC. Chica may not be everyone’s idea of the perfect dog, but if you’re into complex characters, underdog stories, and a little daily chaos, she might just be your soulmate. She’s not for the faint of heart—but if you’re brave, loyal, and don’t mind being judged by 8 pounds of opinions, apply now. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Pita Breed: Chihuahua Sex: Female Age: ~12 years Weight: 8 lbs Good with Dogs: Yes — she coexists peacefully Good with Cats: Unknown, but likely fine Good with Kids: Older children only Good with Men & Women: Yes Food Aggression: None Pita is a tiny, gentle senior girl with a heart full of sweetness. Despite being deaf and blind, she enjoys life in her own quiet, peaceful way. She loves simple pleasures — eating, sleeping, and taking slow walks around the yard. She’s a laid-back companion who asks for very little besides comfort and kindness. Pita does have some medical needs. She is deaf and blind, and she is currently on a kidney-friendly diet. Updated lab work will be done soon to monitor her progress. Because of her sensory limitations, she needs help with daily routines — she is carried outside to potty, brought back in, and placed gently in her bed, much like caring for a newborn. That said, Pita has wonderful strengths: &#226&#156&#168 Housebroken when taken out on a regular schedule &#226&#156&#168 Very loving and calm &#226&#156&#168 Quiet, small, and easy to manage &#226&#156&#168 Doesn’t need to be the only dog and doesn’t require another dog either Her main challenge is that she can be anxious with changes. When placed in a new environment, she may bark or pace for about a week while she adjusts. Once she feels safe and familiar with her surroundings, she settles into her sweet, peaceful rhythm. Pita is looking for a patient, gentle home where she can enjoy her golden years surrounded by comfort and compassion. If you’re someone who appreciates a quiet companion and has room in your heart for a special-needs senior, Pita will reward you with unconditional love and the softest little presence by your side.
