Story
Name: Nala Spice level: &#239&#184&#143&#239&#184&#143 Age: 2 yrs Breed: chi mix Gender: female Weight: 12 lbs Good with kids: unknown, older would likely be best if any Good with dogs: yes, but no puppies Good with cats: unknown Current on vaccinations: Yes Fixed: Scheduled, please read entire bio Adoption also includes Certified Vet Inspection, and Prior vetting paperwork. Foster location: Green Bay Application & Website: https://www.ourpackanimalrescue.com/adoption.html Bio: Meet the spicy little weirdo of your dreams!  Nala joins us from a shelter a few hours away. She raised a bit of heck after her admission, so of course we liked what we heard! The caring shelter staff showed her love and consistency to help her break out of her shell, and we are the lucky rescue who gets to help her find her forever! Nala unfortunately experienced a false pregnancy. The shelter staff provided support, and got her through it. While her spay is scheduled, waiting until 6 weeks after symptoms subsided so her uterus could involate was a must. Not to worry, because we’ll get her what she needs and she will never have to experience a false pregnancy again! Now, onto the spice. Nala loves toys. Nala hoards toys. She can get a tad possessive, not to be confused with aggressive. Girl loves to pile up the goods- she will pretend to chomp another dog who approaches her toy pile. Emphasis on pretend- basically you have to like the chi breed and the mischief they bring if you are interested in Nala. She would not not be a great second dog to add to your household if you haven’t done so before.  She could absolutely thrive as an only dog- and is the epitome of loyal after she has had time to decompress. Nala warmed up to the lady of the house first- so whoever is home more often will likely become her first best friend. She will bark at new people entering the house, and comes in hot- but within a few minutes she is approaching for pets. She acts a bit tough initially, but quickly drops the act and cooperates with being picked up, etc But wait, theres more…..when we said weirdo, we weren’t kidding. She may act excited over food, but….she isn’t a big eater. Decompression takes time, but home girl wouldn’t touch the first two meals she was offered. She doesn’t want to eat if she is completely alone- but is hyper focused on rejoining the other dogs if foster mom sits with her in a gated area. She has eaten “enough” with constant encouragement from foster mom- but its an odd experience if you’re used to food motivated dogs. Nala just may have a case of FOMO.  Let us help you spice up your life in 2026, consider Nala! Our Pack Animal Rescue,  Inc. Is an all foster based 501c3 rescue. License #487823.
