This 5-year-old Chow Chow mix forms deep bonds with the people he trusts. Once you're in his circle, Yoyo is affectionate, loyal, and happiest spending time by your side. One of our volunteers recently shared that walks with Yoyo helped them through the loss of their own dog. He has a way of making people feel seen. Yoyo walks beautifully on leash, rides well in the car, appears to be housetrained, and absolutely enjoys being groomed. He appreciates a predictable routine and the company of people he knows well. Like many Chows, Yoyo is looking for an experienced owner who understands the value of earning a dog's trust. He would do best in an adult-only home and should not live with cats. Yoyo can be selective about his canine companions, but has done well with some dogs, particularly female dogs. After spending nearly a year with us, we'd love to see Yoyo find the person he's been waiting for. For the right home, he'll be more than a pet—he'll be a devoted companion and loyal friend.

She thrives when allowed to build trust at her own pace and does best with people who can read canine body language and provide clear, consistent guidance. Sable has done well with some other dogs and may enjoy a compatible canine companion after proper introductions. She would do best in a home committed to continuing to build her confidence while giving her the structure and understanding she needs to feel secure. For the right person, Sable is an incredibly rewarding companion — devoted, intelligent, and full of personality.

With new people, he can be afraid or wary, so he’s hoping for an adopter who understands that earning trust takes patience, kindness, and a little time.
