Story
This is Nuka! Nuka is an 11 year old neutered male Chow Chow who was surrendered as he was not doing well with children in the home. He has been a model citizen here at the shelter, and is looking for a Chow savvy home to spend the rest of his days with. He weighs 56 lbs, is currently receiving much needed grooming services, was already neutered & microchipped, and is now vaccinated and heartworm negative. As you can see in his last photo, he does have issues with his eyes --- entropion in both eyes that needs to be surgically corrected. We are happy to do so when we have a rescue or the right adopter secured! We are told he does not get along with other animals, but has met dogs without issues here at the shelter. We do think he has some hearing loss but no issues with ear infections, etc. He will make a great companion for an adult-only household, especially one familiar with his breed.
