Story
Hello. My name is Rudy. I'm supposed to tell you about myself. Here goes. I'm a little shy when meeting new people. I have to see someone a couple of times before I feel comfortable with them. Typical Chow Chow I guess, lol. I'm a teenager that still needs to learn manners. These things called leashes are a pain in the butt! I'll learn though. I'm a good boy. If you think I'm cute, hit these guys up. They have my number! PAAS-VINITA 918-256-7227 628 S. Wilson St. Vinita, OK 74301

Story
Bear is a 3-year-old, 46lb Chow Chow who’s ready for a fresh start and a life full of comfort and care. He’s dog-friendly, good with children, and has a calm, steady presence that makes him an easy companion. Bear came from a home with over 35 dogs, so he’s had quite the journey to get here. Despite that, he’s adapted well and is showing us just how resilient and deserving he is of a better life. He is house trained, walks nicely on a leash, and does great for grooming—even after needing to be shaved down when he first arrived due to the condition of his coat. Bear does have some food aggression, so he will need to be fed separately from other dogs. With proper management, this is very easy to handle and doesn’t take away from what a great dog he is. This boy is ready to leave his past behind and finally experience what it means to be truly loved and cared for.

Story
I’m not a fan of cats, so I would prefer to live in a home without any. - TJ Dogs are usually tested with other dogs their size, and we encourage meet-and-greets with your dog before adoption. Cat tests are available if requested, but they only check for clear aggression. Always be careful when introducing dogs to cats. Advice about dogs living with children is based on behavior like energy level and how the dog handles touch. Young children should never be left alone with dogs, and we cannot guarantee how any dog will behave with kids or other pets. Behavior seen in the shelter is just a snapshot and may change in a home. Dogs come from many backgrounds and may need training, time, and patience. Dogs should not be fed together unless you know they do not guard food. We also suggest learning about a dog's breed or mix to be sure it fits your family. Moving to a new home can be stressful for dogs. Use the Rule of 3 to help them adjust: First 3 days: Dogs may feel scared, tired, overexcited, or not want to eat. First 3 weeks: Dogs start learning routines and may show new behaviors. Keep things calm and avoid busy places. First 3 months: Dogs usually feel settled and more comfortable.
