Meet Roy, one of the dogs from "The Office" group.
Roy is a gentle giant Clumber Spaniel who has had a rough start in life. He came to rescue as a breeder surrender, severely matted, in pain, and with clumps of urine- and feces-soaked hair. Understandably, he was pretty growly at first—he wanted to be near people but didn’t want much handling. Since having the painful matting removed, treatment for a severe ear infection, and being neutered, Roy seems much happier and more comfortable in his own skin. 🐾💛

Roy grew up in a kennel and doesn’t have experience in a family home. He’s making progress learning about the world outside a kennel and is adoptable to a home with experience handling undersocialized dogs. He’s not suitable for homes with young children and we do not yet know how he is with cats. He rides well in a vehicle and has done fine in a group with other kennel dogs, though he does not seem to require constant canine companionship.

Roy will be available for adoption to a home that understands the needs of undersocialized dogs and can continue helping him gain confidence, leash skills, and comfort with handling.

If interested in meeting and potentially adopting, please read the adoption requirements and complete the adoption application located at forbellessake.org. Once processed and approved, a meet and greet can be scheduled and if a match is found, adoption can be finalized at that time. FBS standard adoption fee is $175. All residents are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and treated for any known medical needs. Housetraining is not guaranteed but crate training is worked on with all residents. A secure physically fenced yard is prioritized if a yard is present. Temperament cannot be and is not guaranteed.
