Story
Intake Date: 24 March 2026 ----- Age: Unknown (est. 2-3 yrs) ----- Breed: Clumber Spaniel ----- Weight: ~45 lbs ----- Status: Breeder Surrender ----- Compatible with: dogs, cats (slow intro), respectful children ----- Suitable for: home with a fenced yard ----- Medical/Behavioral Needs: vision impairment (pending evaluation), spay and eye exam upcoming, leash training in progress, undersocialized ----- Additional Notes: Meet Beesly - from our 'The Office' theme family. Beesly is the bouncy, silly girl of the group-and if we're being honest'| a total favorite (shhh, don't tell the others). She's 100% a walking accident in the most lovable way possible. With suspected vision impairment, possibly related to Horner's Syndrome, and little to no depth perception, Beesly navigates the world in her own unique style-which often includes walking into things, over ledges, and investigating everything up close. About Beesly: Female Breed: Clumber Spaniel Weight: ~50 lbs Age: Estimated 2-3 years Silly, wiggly, and full of personality Loves butt scratches and has started enjoying belly rubs Vision impairment-everything must be investigated up close A rock? Must be smelled. A new object? Must be inspected immediately (and probably bumped into first). Beesly approaches life with curiosity, joy, and zero spatial awareness-and it makes her endlessly entertaining. She has been great with other dogs and has met cats cautiously. She has shown no outward aggression but will need slow, controlled introductions as cats are very new (and possibly confusing) to her. Grooming and her first bath were scary experiences, but she worked through them, and we continue to keep things as positive as possible for her. Leash training is'| a work in progress. Expect a mix of zig-zags, sudden stops, and enthusiastic spins around your legs as she figures it all out. Despite her start in a kennel environment, Beesly is already showing huge progress-accepting affection like belly rubs is a big step, and she continues to blossom more each day. Adoption Info: Beesly is looking for a patient, understanding home that can embrace her quirks, continue her training (has only been in the house since coming to rescue and it's a bit scary for her!), and help her safely navigate the world. We're unsure how she is with young children, as she's only been around older kids. As with any dog, supervision and teaching children to respect boundaries is key to preventing bites or other concerns. If you're ready for a joyful, wiggly, slightly chaotic companion who will keep you smiling every day, Beesly is ready to meet you! Intake Date: 24 March 2026 ----- Age: Unknown (est. 2–3 yrs) ----- Breed: Clumber Spaniel ----- Weight: 45 lbs ----- Status: Breeder Surrender ----- Compatible with: dogs, cats (potentially, no guarantees), respectful children ----- Suitable for: home with a fenced yard ----- Medical/Behavioral Needs: spay pending, leash training in progress, shy and undersocialized ----- Additional Notes: Meet Nellie Nellie is the fourth of the Clumber Spaniel group—a sweet, curious girl who falls right in the middle of the shyness scale. She is gentle but shy and nervous. Currently, she and Phyllis don’t get along—Phyllis tends to instigate, and Nellie holds her ground. This may settle once all the girls are spayed. In the meantime, Nellie enjoys the company of Beesly. About Nellie: 🐾 Curious and scared—first time in a house was scary but exciting 🐾 Groomed and bathed successfully but aversion to paws and ears Nellie is still learning about life outside the kennel. She has been introduced to cats, but she gets very excited if they run and seems confused if they don’t. With careful desensitization, controlled introductions, and boundaries, living with a cat might be possible—but there are no guarantees. Adoption Info: Nellie is best suited for an experienced home that can handle a shy dog, provide patience with her curiosity and confidence, and continue her progress in a calm, structured environment. If you’re ready to give this sweet, curious Clumber a loving home where she can thrive, Nellie is ready to meet you! 🐶💛 ‐------------------------------------------------------- If interested in meeting and potentially adopting, please read the adoption requirements and complete the adoption application located at forbellessake.org. Intake Date: 24 March 2026 ----- Age: Unknown (est. ~2 yrs) ----- Breed: Clumber Spaniel ----- Weight: 49 lbs ----- Status: Breeder Surrender ----- Compatible with: dogs (selective), unknown with cats, mature children ----- Suitable for: patient home ----- Medical/Behavioral Needs: recently treated severe ear infection, spayed, sanitary groom completed, leash training in progress, shy ----- Additional Notes: Meet Phyllis! Another from "The Office" group. Phyllis is a sweet and gentle Clumber Spaniel who came to rescue from the same difficult situation as Roy. She had a severe ear infection and needed a sanitary groom, both of which were addressed during her spay. Of the three females from her group, Phyllis is the most shy—but she’s incredibly sweet and curious about the world. 🐾💛 About Phyllis: 🐾 Female 🐾 Breed: Clumber Spaniel 🐾 Weight: 49 lbs 🐾 Age: Unknown, estimated ~2 years 🐾 Sweet, shy, and curious 🐾 Loves walks and exploring new sights and smells 🐾 Leash training in progress 🐾 Dog selective—gets along with Roy and Beesly, does not mesh with Nellie Since her groom, Phyllis is much more eager to explore because she feels GREAT! She has no mean bones in her body with people—just a little shy at times. She’s learning to enjoy life outside of a kennel and is making progress every day. Adoption Info: Phyllis is adoptable to a home experienced with shy or selective dogs, who can help her continue gaining confidence and enjoying walks, outings, and new experiences. She has no housetraining. If you’re ready to give this gentle, sweet Clumber a loving home where she can continue to blossom, Phyllis is ready to meet you! 🐶💛 ‐------------------------------------------------------- If interested in meeting and potentially adopting, please read the adoption requirements and complete the adoption application located at forbellessake.org. Story
Intake Date: 24 March 2026 ----- Age: Unknown ----- Breed: Clumber Spaniel ----- Weight: 77 lbs ----- Status: Breeder Surrender ----- Compatible with: dogs (supervised), unknown with cats, no young children ----- Suitable for: experienced home with no young children ----- Medical/Behavioral Needs: recently treated severe matting, ear infection, neutered, leash training in progress, undersocialized ----- Additional Notes: Meet Roy, one of the dogs from "The Office" group. Roy is a gentle giant Clumber Spaniel who has had a rough start in life. He came to rescue as a breeder surrender, severely matted, in pain, and with clumps of urine- and feces-soaked hair. Understandably, he was pretty growly at first—he wanted to be near people but didn’t want much handling. Since having the painful matting removed, treatment for a severe ear infection, and being neutered, Roy seems much happier and more comfortable in his own skin. 🐾💛 About Roy: 🐾 Male 🐾 Breed: Clumber Spaniel 🐾 Weight: 77 lbs 🐾 Age: Unknown 🐾 Sweet, cautious, and learning to trust 🐾 Leash training in progress 🐾 No prior home experience—used to kennel life Roy grew up in a kennel and doesn’t have experience in a family home. He’s making progress learning about the world outside a kennel and is adoptable to a home with experience handling undersocialized dogs. He’s not suitable for homes with young children and we do not yet know how he is with cats. He rides well in a vehicle and has done fine in a group with other kennel dogs, though he does not seem to require constant canine companionship. Adoption Info: Roy will be available for adoption to a home that understands the needs of undersocialized dogs and can continue helping him gain confidence, leash skills, and comfort with handling. If you’re ready to give a sweet, cautious Clumber a second chance at a happy, healthy life, Roy is ready to meet you! ‐------------------------------------------------------- If interested in meeting and potentially adopting, please read the adoption requirements and complete the adoption application located at forbellessake.org.
