Story
Let's all take a second to appreciate what is happening with Zeus McGoose’s ears. Seriously... they deserve their own fan club. Between those long, floppy ears, his beautiful golden-red locks, the adorable freckles sprinkled across his nose, and those perfectly expressive little forehead wrinkles, Zeus looks like he walked straight out of a storybook. He's the kind of dog that makes people stop scrolling, smile, and immediately think, "Okay... I need to know more about this guy." The good news? His personality is every bit as wonderful as his looks. Zeus is sweet, fun, easy to live with, and has that perfect balance so many people hope to find. He's playful without bouncing off the walls, affectionate without needing to be glued to your side, and happy simply being part of whatever you're doing. Whether he's carrying around one of his beloved squeaky toys, lounging in the sunshine, or hanging out with his people after a day of fun, Zeus has this easygoing charm that's incredibly easy to fall in love with. Watch his video and prepare to become obsessed with those ears: https://youtu.be/TkrTH-Je-GI?si=eXC_GPY0jrIu3d73 He is approximately 2 years old, currently weighs around 28 lbs, and we believe he may be a Cocker Spaniel mix. As with any rescue dog, breed is always a mystery and we can never guarantee exactly what he is, but whatever his breed mix may be... we think he absolutely hit the genetic jackpot. Zeus is currently fostered in a multi-dog home with several little dogs that weigh around 10-12 lbs, and he's done wonderfully with them. He's not the type that's constantly trying to wrestle or play all day long, but he definitely enjoys having little buddies to run around the backyard with. He seems perfectly content doing his own thing, joining in when he feels like it, and then settling back down again. We haven't had the opportunity to introduce him to dogs his size or larger just yet, but we'd be more than happy to arrange a meet-and-greet with a dog that has a similar temperament to yours if you'd like us to. One thing you'll quickly learn about Zeus is that this boy has priorities... and squeaky toys are very high on the list. Honestly, we're pretty convinced he can hear one from across the house. The second he hears that squeak, he's ready to investigate. He absolutely loves his toys, especially squeaky ones, and likes keeping them nearby almost like they're his emotional support buddies. Balls are another favorite, and watching him happily bounce around the yard with a toy in his mouth is guaranteed to make you smile. He's also a smart cookie. Zeus already knows how to sit, absolutely loves treats, takes them with the gentlest mouth, and genuinely enjoys learning. His foster describes him as eager to please, which makes working with him both fun and rewarding. Zeus is crate trained and does wonderfully in his crate. He's also doing really well with potty training. His foster shares that accidents in the house are very rare, and while he's still putting the finishing touches on always remembering exactly where the appropriate potty spots are, he's already built a really solid foundation. We think Zeus would be happiest in a home with a backyard where he can chase toys, zoom around when the mood strikes, stretch out for an afternoon sunbath, and enjoy all the little things that make him happiest. While we haven't had the opportunity to see him with children just yet, based on everything we've learned about him so far, we think he has wonderful potential to become an incredible family dog, especially for a family with older kids that want a goofy, toy-loving companion to grow up with. At the end of the day, Zeus really isn't asking for much. A basket overflowing with squeaky toys. A backyard to enjoy. A family that loves him. Maybe a tennis ball or two. And plenty of people willing to tell him how ridiculously handsome he is, because honestly... they're probably going to be thinking it anyway. If you've been looking for a dog that's equal parts handsome, playful, sweet, and easy to live with, Zeus just might be your perfect match. We have a feeling those floppy ears are going to steal your attention first... but it's his personality that'll steal your heart. We are willing to test Zeus McGoose with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Story
**Finn is not in the direct care of Happy Tails Happy Homes, but we are assisting his current owner in rehoming him at no fault of Finn's. If you are interested in Finn, please fill out and app here: https://www.happytailshappyhomes.org/adoptionform ** 🐾 Finn – Mini Aussie / Springer Spaniel Mix 🎂 Born: June 30, 2021 (almost 5 years old) ⚖️ Weight: ~75 lbs, medium-sized ✂️ Neutered 💉 Not currently up to date on vaccinations Finn is a sweet, affectionate boy who forms strong bonds with his people and loves being part of the family. He is very loyal and enjoys being close to his humans, often choosing to sleep on the bed or nearby on the floor. He thrives in an indoor home environment but absolutely loves outdoor time and nature adventures. He is extremely excited about walks—just saying the word “walk” will send him into full excitement mode. He enjoys tug-of-war, chasing toys, and playtime, though stuffed toys don’t last long with him. Finn is very smart and highly trainable, but he will benefit from structure and consistent guidance. He is energetic and needs daily exercise and mental stimulation to stay balanced. Finn does well in some social settings. He enjoys dog parks and generally gets along with other dogs. He also lives peacefully with cats, though he does tend to herd them to “keep them in line.” He has never been aggressive toward them. However, he can be very barky and alert around strangers, especially near his home, and he is protective of his space. Finn is not recommended for homes with small children, as he may bark at or attempt to herd them. He may do better with older, respectful children with proper introductions. He can be reactive to people and dogs approaching his property, likely due to herding instincts. Overall, Finn is a smart, energetic, and loving dog who will do best with an experienced owner familiar with herding breeds and able to provide exercise, structure, and clear boundaries. He is being rehomed due to major life changes, including financial constraints, increased work demands, and relocation, which prevent his current owner from providing the level of care and time he deserves.

Story
~~THIS IS A COURTESY POST. THIS DOG IS **NOT** IN THE CARE OF THE ALTERNATIVE HUMANE SOCIETY. TO LEARN MORE ABOUT FINN PLEASE REACH OUT TO HIS OWNER AT smwaters627@gmail.com  THANK YOU~~ Finn is a sweet mini aussie/springer spaniel mix born on June 30, 2021. He weighs around 75lb's, is neutered but not up to date on shots.  Although Finn is sweet He likes to bark at the neighborhood kids. I believe this is due to his herding instincts. I have taken him to the dog park, which he enjoys tremendously, and seems to do well with multiple other dogs around and even people, but he does bark a lot at people and other dogs getting near his property.  We have 2 cats and he likes to herd them. he has never hurt them, only keeps them in line, so dog savvy cats are recommended.  I can say he does well around cats and is adaptable around other dogs but don't trust him around smallish children (older kids may be ok).  Finn LOVES walks and if you say the word "walk" he holds you to the obligation. His leash makes him jump for joy like a jumping bean!! He loves nature trails and may be ok off leash as long as it's not heavily populated. He LOVES tug of war and stuffed animals but he destroys them in 5 mins or less. Finn is a smart boy and can pick up commands with the right training. FYI he knows how to open the refrigerator!  He loves and his protective of his humans. He loves to sleep on his humans’ bed or beside them on the floor. Even though he loves being outside on sunny days he is an indoor dog and likes to be dried off after it rains! ##2753092##
