Hi there! My name is Cedar, a 9 month old Poodle mix and I'm currently living at the Santa Barbara Campus, eager for a new home! If you have been pining for a new best friend, Cedar is ready to branch out and meet you! This nine-month-old Poodle mix at our Santa Barbara Campus is a bit of a shy sapling. He likes to take his time getting rooted before he fully opens up, especially when it comes to new people and new environments. Big, fast introductions are not really his style. He is more of an “evergreen energy, calm and steady, no rushing” kind of guy. Give him a little patience, though, and you will start to see him grow. A small tail wag turns into a quiet lean, and before long, he is right there with you, just in his own gentle, low-key way. Cedar might take a minute to warm up, but give him time, and he will turn a new leaf, letting his sweet nature come through. He is looking for someone who can help him build confidence at his own pace. With steady care, kindness, and a calm home, he will take root and thrive. No rushing, no pressure, just a chance to grow into himself. If you are oak-ay with a slower start and want a dog you can truly grow with, Cedar might be the one you have been pining for. Adoptions are open 12pm-4:30pm every day, except Wednesdays, and no appointment is needed. Like all SBH animals, when I am adopted, I will have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Adoptions also include a certificate for a complimentary post-adoption veterinary exam from a local clinic and our partners at Hills Science Diet will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home.
