Story
*We will not be hosting an adoption event on Saturday, October 3. Instead, we are offering private adoption appointments to pre-approved applicants from September 28-October 4. Contact us to learn more!* Meet Poof! This happy little lady is friendly, affectionate, funny, and always pretty pleased to be included. At around one year old, she still has some puppy energy left in the tank, but she also knows how to settle down and enjoy the quieter parts of the day. She’ll be happiest in a moderately active home where walks, playtime, and a little daily adventure are part of the routine. One of Poof’s favorite activities is racing around the backyard playing chase with her canine friends. She also enjoys neighborhood walks, playing with her people, and investigating whatever happens to catch her attention. She gets along well with dogs, cats, and children and is a social little lady who seems to genuinely enjoy making friends. She even has an adorable skip-trot when she’s on the move that fits her slightly goofy personality perfectly. Poof is also eager to please and enjoys engaging with her people, which makes her a fun little companion to work with. She likes having something to do, but she certainly doesn’t need to be entertained every waking minute. Give her an appropriate outlet for that leftover puppy energy, and she’s more than happy to settle in for some serious cuddle time afterward. And cuddling is something Poof takes seriously. She loves affection and being close to her people, but she isn’t looking to spend her entire day as a lap dog. Her ideal family will appreciate that balance—a dog who is happy to join them for a walk or some backyard fun and equally happy to curl up nearby when it’s time to relax. Poof is potty trained, though like many dogs, she may have an initial accident or two while adjusting to a new home and routine. She is also kennel trained and may mildly protest for the first few minutes after being kenneled, but she settles quickly and continues to improve. Funny, social, eager to please, and wonderfully affectionate, Poof is ready for a family looking for a little companion who can keep them smiling, join in on the fun, and still appreciate a very good cuddle. Poof is a 1-year-old mixed breed rescued from a high-intake shelter. This dog's adoption fee is $800 and includes up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, 4DX testing, and spay. Poof is friendly with dogs, cats, and children. She is potty trained, though an initial accident or two may occur while adjusting to a new home and routine. She is also kennel trained and may mildly protest for the first few minutes after being kenneled, but settles quickly and continues to improve with time. We would love for you to meet Poof and see if she might be a good fit for your home. The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal for the Saturday adoption event. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals. We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!) Please note, adoption applications are processed within 1–2 business days. Adoption applications cannot be processed onsite at adoption events. Our adoption events take place every Saturday from 10am-Noon at Pet Supplies Plus (Front Range Village, 2912 Council Tree Ave #100, Fort Collins, 80525). For additional questions regarding meeting this dog please contact us via text/email at 970.699.6772 or contact@bounceanimalrescue.org. We apologize for any inconvenience, but due to a high volume of inquiries, calls and voicemails regarding adoption will not be returned. Thank you for choosing adoption! *We will not be hosting an adoption event on Saturday, October 3. Instead, we are offering private adoption appointments to pre-approved applicants from September 28-October 4. Contact us to learn more!* Meet Tootsie! This sweet, shy puppy is curious about the world around her and slowly learning that there’s plenty to be excited about. People are already high on her list—even spotting someone on TV is enough to get her whole body wagging! Tootsie is making progress with housetraining and learning the basics of good house manners. She’s also doing wonderfully with her kennel and settles in nicely when it’s time to relax. While Tootsie is still building her confidence, her adorable personality starts to shine once she feels safe and comfortable. She’s looking for a patient, loving family who will give her the encouragement, consistency, and time she needs to continue coming out of her shell and figuring out this whole dog thing. Tootsie is a 6-month-old mixed breed rescued from a high-intake shelter. This dog's adoption fee is $800 and includes up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, 4DX testing, and spay. Tootsie is also tested with other dogs, children, and kennel trained. She is not tested with cats and is working on potty training in foster care.
