Story
Just look at that smile! The little guy grinning from ear to ear is aptly named Happy Man, and honestly, we've never met a dog who wears his name more proudly. This charming young Miniature Poodle wakes up every day ready to share his joy with everyone around him. His tail wags with enthusiasm, his eyes sparkle with happiness, and his smile says it all. Happy Man's journey to Critter Cavalry Rescue began with heartbreak. When his beloved owner passed away, he and another dog were left alone in the home. Kind people made sure they were fed while a dedicated rescuer searched for help. Thankfully, Critter Cavalry Rescue stepped in, and this precious little boy was given a second chance at the future he deserves. At only 18 months old and weighing about 10 pounds, Happy Man has settled beautifully into foster care. There he received everything he needed to start fresh: a complete veterinary examination, neuter surgery, vaccinations, heartworm testing, fecal testing, a microchip, and all the loving care he could handle. He passed every health check with flying colors and is now eagerly waiting to find out where life will take him next. And what a wonderful life companion he will be. Happy Man is smart, affectionate, playful, and full of personality. He loves people and thrives on companionship. Like many young dogs, he is still learning a few things. He is almost housebroken and will need a family willing to establish a consistent outdoor potty routine. His elderly owner relied primarily on pee pads, so he simply needs a little guidance and patience as he learns new habits. The truth is that rescue dogs don't always arrive perfectly trained. They carry the effects of the lives they've lived before. But what matters most is who they are at heart—and Happy Man's heart is pure gold. If you're searching for a young dog who is healthy, intelligent, loving, and guaranteed to brighten your days, this little star deserves your attention. He has overcome loss, embraced a new beginning, and never lost his joyful spirit. Some dogs come into your life and make you smile. Happy Man is the kind of dog who makes you smile every single day. Could you be the lucky family he has been waiting for?   Contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you are interested.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJune 15, 2026, 11:37 am

Story
Meet Funny Phil!If you are looking for a puppy with charm, good looks, a sense of humor, and a heart full of love, then allow us to introduce you to Funny Phil. This happy-go-lucky Mini Aussiedoodle is 12 weeks old, weighs about 12 pounds, and is expected to grow into a wonderful 30–40 pound companion. Wherever he goes, Phil seems to attract attention. Maybe it's his adorable face, his expressive eyes, or the way he always seems to have a funny look ready to make people smile. Whatever it is, this little guy has 'star quality' written all over him.Phil is the kind of puppy who wakes up every day ready to enjoy life. He loves people and believes everyone he meets is a potential best friend. He happily soaks up attention, gives out affection freely, and is always ready to be part of whatever is happening around him. Whether you're taking a walk, riding in the car, hanging out in the yard, or relaxing on the couch, Phil is delighted just to be included. This sweet boy also has wonderful manners for such a young pup. He is crate trained and making excellent progress with housebreaking. He's smart, eager to learn, and has just the right amount of energy—playful and fun without being overwhelming. He gets along beautifully with other dogs, is comfortable around cats, and is gentle and loving with children.Phil's story started a little differently than most puppies. He was born in a litter of six and spent the first eight weeks of his life living outdoors. When Critter Cavalry Rescue learned about the puppies' situation, they stepped in to give them the clean, safe, and loving start they deserved. Phil has embraced his second chance with enthusiasm and gratitude, and now he's ready to find the forever family he was always meant to have.We can easily picture Phil growing up to be that once-in-a-lifetime dog—the one who goes everywhere with his family, greets every day with a wagging tail, and keeps everyone laughing with his silly expressions and joyful personality. He has a way of making ordinary moments feel special.Funny Phil will be ready on June 19 to hop aboard the transport van from Nashville and head toward the family of his dreams. The only question is whether that family might be yours. For more information about adopting Phil, please contact ccrnewengland@gmail.com.Warning: prolonged exposure to Funny Phil may result in excessive smiling, frequent puppy kisses, and a sudden inability to imagine life without him. ❤️ PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJune 15, 2026, 11:37 am

Story
Meet Cocoa— a 3-year-old, 18 pound Shih Tzu/Cocker Spaniel mix with a huge personality, a happy spirit, and a nose that believes every walk should be a full-blown “Sniff-fari.” This handsome little guy is the perfect combination of fun, affection, curiosity, and companionship all wrapped up in one adorable package.   Cocoa is the kind of dog who wakes up every day excited to see what adventure might happen next. Whether it’s a long neighborhood walk, a car ride to run errands, a weekend road trip, or simply exploring the backyard like it’s brand new, he is ALL IN. He absolutely loves his walks and can happily stroll for blocks without slowing down, making him a wonderful companion for someone who enjoys being active and having a loyal little sidekick along for the ride.   And when the adventures are over? Cocoa transforms into the sweetest companion who just wants to be near his people. He has wonderful house manners, travels beautifully in the car, and would gladly accept the role of full-time co-pilot in someone’s life. If you’ve ever wanted a dog who is always ready to go wherever you go, Cocoa is your guy.   He does very well with crate training and potty training and is eager to continue learning new commands and routines. Cocoa is a smart boy who truly enjoys interaction and engagement. He also loves other dogs and wants very much to play and socialize with them. Due to some hardships in his previous life, he does have mild food guarding tendencies, but it is easily managed by feeding him separately from other pets. Outside of mealtime, he is loving, social, and full of joy.   What makes Cocoa especially lovable is his personality. He has that perfect mix of silly and sweet — one minute proudly investigating every smell on earth with total determination, and the next minute gazing up at you with those soulful eyes like you are his entire world. He brings energy and laughter into a home without being overwhelming, and his affectionate nature makes it impossible not to fall for him.   Cocoa is ready for a fresh start with someone who will appreciate his playful spirit, continue building his confidence, and include him as part of everyday life. He has so much love to give and is simply waiting for the person who will say, “Yep… you’re coming home with me.” ❤️   If you are interested in adopting Cocoa, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com       PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJune 15, 2026, 11:37 am
