Maxx Rebo is a 5-year-old neutered Maltipoo weighing just 9.5 pounds — but don’t let his size fool you, this little guy is full of personality, curiosity, and charm!
He is very observant and a bit “nosy” in the cutest way, always wanting to know what’s going on around him. Maxx gets very excited when people leave or come home, often greeting you with happy barking, bouncing, and big energy. Once he bonds with you, he is extremely affectionate and loves to snuggle on his terms.
Maxx has a more independent, cat-like personality when it comes to handling. He enjoys attention but does not like excessive petting and will clearly communicate when he’s had enough. He has not bitten his foster, but he has shown warning signals and has attempted to nip during nail trims.
Because of this, Maxx will need an experienced dog owner who understands small dog body language and behavior. He will need a home willing to let him decompress at his own pace before any handling, move very slowly, and use patience, structure, and positive reinforcement to build trust.
He would do best in an adult-only home with no other dogs, where he can be the center of attention and settle into a calm, predictable routine.
