Please read the following informationESSEX is in foster care in Houston,TexasThe adoption fee includes the transportation If interested there is an application on our websitehoustonshaggydogrescue.org Essex is as close to a cockapoo as they come per his Dna . he is approx 5 yrs old and 10 lbs .. he will amuse himself for hours playing with his toys and loves racing around the yard .. he also likes racing after the other dogs and barking at them and would do better as an only dog or with one other laid back companion ! he would be great for someone older , he walks well on a leash , pretty well house trained ,although he does like to occasionally mark the other dogs beds and is just a very precocious and alpha little dog that needs an experienced owner he was very matted when we rescued him and was shaved down to the skin. his coat is really starting to fill out nicely now ..there is an application on our websitewww. houstonshaggydogrescue.orgThe adoption fee is $500We do not adopt to anyone with children under the age of 8 years.. Tobi is an active full of life and energy 11 year old pup! Everyone is always surprised by his age when we tell them. He does well with female dogs, we try to keep him away from male dogs as he’s not fixed. He lives with a cat currently and they coexist lol. He’s a great dog! Loves exploring and is very loyal. He’s definitely a people’s dog.We just recently had a baby and he’s having a hard time adjusting to that

Story
Tuna is our lovable ~5yr Cockapoo. She is the snuggliest dog we have ever met - loves being on laps, sitting nearby, or lounging around. When it's playtime, she loves to chase a ball, play tug of war with one of her toys, or just run around. She is very friendly and outgoing - when a new person enters the home she is always the first one who wants to say hello. After a greeting, she tends to calm down again. Tuna generally is not a big barker, but will bark back if she hears nearby dogs. She also may get excited if there are inside noises that indicate someone is moving around nearby (hallway or elevator). Tuna is not great with young children. Erratic behavior & noises can make her anxious, and we are looking to rehome her because of a broke-skin / single stitch bite (her only one) with a 2.5yr old toddler who tried to follow her under a table. She can be defensive around food and under tables. She is fully up to date on shots & vaccinations with recently cleaned teeth.
