Story
Special Needs Puppy. She is a sweet girl. She would do best in a fenced yard or on a leash when outside as she can get lost in our large open area, due to a sight impairment. She has a grade 2 heart murmur, a large hernia (which can be repaired at time of spay). She is current on deworming and has her 3 core vaccines. Please contact me, if you are interested in seeing if Merigold is a good fit for your family.

Story
Cami has never met a lap she didn't appreciate or a person she didn't want to be closer to. She is loving, cuddly, dog-friendly, and brings a sweet, happy energy wherever she goes. Estimated to be around 5 years old and weighing a perfectly portable 15 pounds, Cami looks like she could be a Miniature Poodle/Dachshund mix, though breed and age are simply our best guess. Go watch Cami | The Little Glow-Up Girl on YouTube, then come right back to read more about this lovable little lady. You may notice she has less fur in parts of her video. That's because much of it was taken while she was still healing and recovering. These days, her coat is growing back beautifully and her glow-up is nearly complete. https://youtu.be/Exek5bvGI2I Cami is currently being fostered in a loving home with dogs of all sizes, from fellow little pups to larger, more playful dogs, and she fits in wonderfully with everyone. She enjoys having canine friends around and would likely love a playful dog companion in her forever home. That said, Cami is very much a people-focused girl. If given the choice between hanging out with the dogs or snuggling up with her favorite human, she is choosing her human. She is house and crate trained, and easy to take along for life's little adventures. Coffee runs? Cami is in. A stroll through the neighborhood? Perfect. Sitting next to you while you answer emails and pretending she is helping? Absolutely. While she loves a good cuddle session, she is not a complete couch potato. Cami has a playful side and enjoys running around and having fun. She balances her lap dog credentials with just enough energy to keep things interesting. One thing to know about Cami is that she likes to share her opinions, aka- she is a chatty Cami. Because of that, she is not a fit for apartment living or homes with shared walls. A house where she can chat freely without bothering neighbors will help set everyone up for success. The best part about Cami isn't her growing coat or her adorable little face. It's her resilience. She has come through a difficult chapter, settled beautifully into her foster home, and never stopped being loving through it all. Now she is simply looking for a family to love her into and through the absolute best part of her story. Ready to welcome Cami Cutie home? She enjoys spending time with her people and thrives on companionship, affection, and being included as part of the family. Bri forms strong bonds with the people she loves and is happiest when she can be close to her family. Whether she's joining you for a walk, relaxing at home, or simply keeping you company throughout the day, Bri's loving personality shines through in everything she does. As a Poodle Mix, Bri is likely to be intelligent, eager to learn, and highly people-oriented. Poodles are known for their trainability, loyalty, and affectionate personalities. They thrive with positive reinforcement, mental stimulation, and opportunities to spend quality time with their families. Bri would thrive in a home prepared for: Daily companionship and interaction Continued training and guidance Mental stimulation and enrichment Positive socialization experiences Structure, consistency, and routine A lifelong commitment to her emotional and physical well-being Her sweet personality and loyal nature make her an excellent companion for individuals, couples, or families looking for a devoted best friend. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Many rescue dogs come from uncertain beginnings and may not have had structure, socialization, or training before arriving at rescue. Because of this, most rescue dogs arrive with only basic training at best, and some may have had no formal training at all. The rescue environment itself also does not always allow for extensive one-on-one training. While we work hard to provide safety, structure, socialization, and basic guidance, adopters should expect to continue training and support after adoption. Like all rescue dogs, Bri may need time to adjust to a new home and routine. Patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement will help her settle in and build confidence as she learns her new environment. Bri will benefit from: Positive reinforcement training Daily structure and routine Continued socialization and exposure Exercise and mental stimulation Patience, consistency, and supervision Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 days to decompress 3 weeks to learn your routine 3 months to fully feel at home With patience, guidance, and commitment, dogs like Bri blossom into deeply loyal lifelong companions. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Owning a dog is a lifelong commitment that includes training, daily exercise, companionship, routine veterinary care, financial responsibility, and emotional commitment throughout every stage of life. Bri will need: Daily walks, exercise, and interaction Continued training and guidance Routine veterinary care and wellness exams Preventative care including flea, tick, and heartworm prevention Proper nutrition and weight management Regular grooming and coat maintenance Mental stimulation and enrichment A safe, stable, indoor living environment Because of her Poodle heritage, regular grooming and coat care will be important to keep her comfortable and healthy. Consistent veterinary care, emotional stability, proper nutrition, and daily companionship are all essential to helping Bri thrive in her future home. Bri is an indoor family dog and is not to be chained or left outside.
