Story
Hey there! Im Louise - Im an 11 year old lady with a lot of love to give! I came to Animal Aid after one of my guardians passed away and I needed some TLC to get back on track to a healthy life. I previously lived with other senior spaniels, so I wouldn't mind having a chill buddy. I can also live with cats without issue. My hobbies include cuddling on the couch, watching TV, and post-snooze zoomies. I have an irregular heartbeat that was recently checked by a cardiologist. The good news is that it's not bothering me, and I don't need any medications or activity restrictions right now. I will need a follow up cardio screening in January of 2027 to make sure nothing has progressed. I also take some meds to manage skin allergies that will probably be continued, and like many spaniels, it's not uncommon for me to get ear infections. My love languages are quality time and physical touch. I absolutely love getting some good rubs, but if you forget then dont worry, Ill remind you! I also love to walk outside in the sun, play with my squeaky toys, and chase down a laser pointer every now and then. I may do best in a home with a yard because I really don't like to potty on walks. I would also prefer a home where someone is around most of the time. I do alright alone, but I'm a velcro dog and would love to follow someone around most of the time. I'm in a foster home, so please fill out an application at animalaidpdx.com to meet me! Est. Story
Wocka Wocka! Fozzie here! I'm the teddy bear of your dreams in the fuzziest package. I arrived at Animal Aid when one of my guardians passed away and I needed some medical TLC to get me ready for a healthy life. I previously lived with dogs but can be a little selective of my canine pals. I would be totally fine living with another smaller, low energy dog, but I probably don't want a playmate or cuddle buddy. I reserve my cuddles for my humans, and honestly, I'd live in your skin if I could. The more you're home the better. Im calm and quiet most of the time, but I take my role as home guardian and personal bodyguard to my favorite human very seriously. I usually love attention and soak it all up, but if someone seems a little suspicious or gets too close to my person, Ill let them know with a growl or a bark. Just doing my job. Im great with people of all ages. I love affection and would never bite even at the vet, even with needles. Everyones impressed by my restraint. My tough-guy act is mostly for show.Soft spaces are my absolute favorite. Youll hear me do my signature happy growl when Im rolling around in laundry piles, stretched out on the couch, or settled into my dog bed. Cozy is a lifestyle. Ill also follow you everywhere you go in the house.I had some digestive issues in the past, but things are much better now. My stomach is still a bit sensitive, and it may take time for everything to fully calm down. Chicken and beef might not agree with me, so Im currently on a fish-based diet and doing great. I also have an irregular heartbeat that has been checked out by the cardiologist. It's nothing to worry about Im an excellent travel companion. I love car rides, do great on errand runs, and can sit calmly with you at a caf. I will, however, insist on sitting in your lap in the car, so please buckle me in like the precious cargo I am. I enjoy my walks, especially the sniffing and peeing-on-important-things part. Bathroom etiquette is still a work in progress, and I may occasionally choose the middle of a sidewalk or crosswalk as the perfect spot. If youre looking for a loyal shadow, a gentle protector, a professional cuddle expert, and a muppet-looking dog who knows hes adorable, Im your guy. I'm in a foster home, so please fill out an application at animalaidpdx.org to meet me. Est. DOB: 1/26/17 Weight: 30lb
