Frank is a sweet, wiggly Cocker Spaniel who loves his people—and for most people, that love comes pretty quickly! Give him a chance and he’ll often dive right into your lap for snuggles like he’s known you forever. That said, Frank can be a little cautious with certain people and may need some time to decide they’re okay. He does best when he’s allowed to warm up at his own pace and build trust. Frank does well with other dogs and is okay with cats. He can get possessive of his favorite treats when other dogs are around, so his new family will need to continue working with him on sharing his goodies. (And really, who can blame him for having a favorite snack?) Frank also came to us with some challenges around being picked up and groomed. When he felt uncomfortable with these things, he was not shy about letting you know. Our trainers are actively working with him to help him feel safer and more comfortable, and his adopters will receive guidance from our training team so they can continue that progress at home. Outside of those situations, Frank is a fun, affectionate, goofy guy who simply wants to be with his people as much as possible. He’s looking for an adult-only home with someone who will respect his boundaries, give him time when he needs it, and appreciate all the love and personality he has to offer. If you’re looking for a devoted little shadow who may very well launch himself into your lap once he decides you’re his person, Frank might be your guy.
