Story
Allegra!  What a beautiful sounding name!  And what does it mean? And why did her foster give her the name Allegra?  Because it describes this beautiful pup so well!  Joyful, Happy, Active!!!  Our Allegra is a Collie/Lab mix who wears her short black and white coat so well that people stop just to look at her!  Allegra is around 4 months old and, although she presently weighs between 20 and 25 pounds now, she’ll mature to between 50 and 60 pounds.  She gets along well with other dogs, kids, and her foster’s cat! Allegra!  What a wonderful girl!  (posted 1/23/24, TN)  **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption: $395 which covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip and an Alabama State Health Certificate.   Transport, if needed  $160   We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip . We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs.  May 3, 2024, 4:34 pm

He sleeps in the bed; however, at night, he prefers the crate with the door open. He loves chewing on his chewy for comfort and to reduce boredom. He is an amazing dog. He is protective of his pack. He did test POS for Heartworms and has completed his Heartworm Treatment as of 4-26-24, he does have to be calm for the next month due to treatment and recovery process ! Story
Shelby is about 1 year old and is a mix of Red Heeler, Australian Shepherd, Bulldog, and American Bully. She is on the lower end of medium and weighs about 30lbs or less. She leans very heavy on the Heeler side as far as looks and behavior. Shelby came to her foster family as an owner surrender from Tennessee. She was signed over to a vet clinic due to her being hospitalized with Parvo. She has done wonderfully in her foster home but definitely comes with sassiness. Shelby is very acclimated to being around large dogs but loves to play rough. She has been trained to eat in her crate to avoid any resource guarding amongst her foster brothers and sisters. When it’s feeding time, she runs straight to her crate. Some things that Shelby loves are car rides, playing chase, chewing on pigs ears or collagen bones, and talking back when she is being naughty. Shelby does well with other dogs that are playful and energetic. She loves to herd her 80lb foster brother all around the yard. Shelby has been around children aged 8-12. She doesn’t quite know how to handle her feelings of excitement and as a result she will lightly nip which isn’t uncommon for herding dog. In the best interest of Shelby and the loving members of her forever home, she cannot be adopted to a home with small children but older children comfortable with dogs will be considered.
