We think she may be a shepherd × heeler mix — smart, sensitive, loyal, and full of quiet strength. Nova was dumped with her nine brand‑new puppies, left to fend for herself, and thankfully taken into sanctuary care in Puerto Vallarta.Despite her rough start, Nova has been a wonderful mother. She doesn’t pull on leash, but it’s clear the experience is still new to her. She alerts to strangers entering the shelter and prefers to go slow with new people — but once she knows you, she is deeply affectionate and trusting.The busy gravel roads, trucks, and motorcycles around the shelter make her uneasy. Nova would thrive in a quiet, calm home where she can feel safe and decompress at her own pace.She practises with cats and does just fine — respectful, calm, and steady.🐾 A Companion With HeartNova is the kind of dog who forms meaningful bonds.
