Story
Everyone's adoption numbers are down this year, and especially for larger dogs; so, Baytown Humane Society is trying to go the extra mile to make our bigger dogs more appealing! Abigail aka Abby has not only been fully vetted, spayed, and microchipped, she has also completed three weeks of professional training! This particular training group allows lifetime contact and follow-up on the dogs they train; so, the adopter will have access to their support and advice, if it is ever needed. We believe this perk to be value added to a great dog! =) We believe Abby to be predominantly a Smooth Coat Collie. She is approximately 18 months old and weighs about 60 pounds. She loves car rides and has proven to be a happy, intelligent dog that does well with people and other dogs. She is eager to please and learns quickly! Abby is absolutely ready to find her forever home. Some lucky family is going to love and cherish this beautiful dog for many years to come! She is a keeper!! If you are interested in adopting this spectacular dog, just complete the online pet adoption application you will find near her photos on our website: www.BaytownHumaneSociety.org

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact info@petadoptionservices.org for more information about this pet. Current on vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped. Current on flea preventative and heartworm preventative.  This pet adoption has additional requirements and considerations due to breed and age: For a puppy under 6 months old, please note that we are looking for homes where someone is home frequently, or that arrangements have been made for someone to come home at least once during the day to allow the dog to go out for a potty break. Puppies should remain socialized to other dogs in their formative stages, so homes that can provide exposure to fully vaccinated and healthy well-behaved adult dogs is strongly preferred. A fenced yard is required due to this puppy's age and need for further vaccinations prior to being exposed to areas where stray dogs may have access. The breed of this puppy is not known, therefore a mix of what is considered restricted breeds by homeowners insurance, landlords, and military housing may be present, and may become obvious in appearance as the puppy matures into adulthood. If this is a concern, please consider a more mature dog where the appearance of the breed is more obvious.  It is the applicant's responsibility to know the terms of their homeowner's insurance prior to applying.  Due to unknown breeding, this puppy may be more or less than the estimated weight range listed here. Interested families should be open to a varied weight range, and consider both in terms of housing restrictions and personal preference. Landlords may have breed and weight restrictions. It is the responsibility of renters to have spoken with their landlord and reviewed their lease agreement and to have this information available for the application.  *Local adoptions (within 1 hour of New Orleans). We do NOT ship animals. Home check is required, therefore, we will be delivering this dog to your home. If you have read the information in the links provided above and think that this dog is a fit for your lifestyle and home, please completed a   Dog Adoption Application Our adoptions include a foster period of 4-6 weeks so that you can be sure that this pet is a good fit without any pressure, and we are available to answer any behavior or training questions during that time (and beyond, if you wish). Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 18, 2023, 2:33 pm
