Story
Meet Ashton!! This athletic girl is about 3 years old. We believe she is a Shepherd mix of some kind. She currently weighs about 56 pounds. Ashton is a smart, activity loving, beautiful girl! She would love a home with a lot of land, or somewhere who can take her for a run, bike ride or hikes a few times a week! Her soul is meant to explore and get all the enrichment she can. We think she would likely enjoy a playmate. We aren’t sure what she thinks of cats. Ashton is a great girl and we know she will make someone an amazing companion!! Ashton is spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines and on heartworm/flea/tick prevention. Her adoption fee is $85.

These pups are in Enid, Oklahoma too!

Story
"Naomi Judd" was caught in the Lahoma area with another dog ("Wyonna Judd") after they had been running around for over a month. "Naomi" has made amazing progress since her arrival. She is walking on a leash, approaching her kennel door for pets, and accepting new people with less apprehension. "Naomi" does get along with other dogs, but she does have an alpha type of personality. She does go out into the yard for playgroup but is brought in early sometimes when she decides to get too bossy. "Naomi" does keep her inside kennel clean and knows how to use her doggie door.

🖤 FROM "UNSOCIAL" TO UNCONDITIONAL LOVE: MEET DIXIE! 🐾✨ They said she was "unsocial." They put her on a euthanasia list. But the truth? Dixie was just hurting. 💔 When we rescued this sweet girl, she was battling severe pneumonia, infested with parasites, and fighting heartworms. She didn’t want to hide from the world because she was mean—she hid because she felt incredibly sick and had no one to comfort her. Fast forward to today, and Dixie has completely blossomed in her foster home! She is healthy, vibrant, and ready to find the forever family she has always deserved. 🌟 📋 THE QUICK FACTS: Breed: Kelpie Mix (petite & gorgeous!) Weight: ~40 lbs (the perfect compact size!) Personality: Devoted, happy, velcro-dog, and incredibly loving. Dog Friendly: Yes! She enjoys the company of other canine friends. Cat/Small Critter Friendly: No, thank you! Dixie has a strong natural prey drive, so a home without cats, rabbits, or pocket pets is a must. Adventure Level: High! She is the ultimate "go everywhere, do everything" companion. 💖 DIXIE'S PERSONALITY: Dixie is a true shadow dog. If you are looking for a loyal companion who will look at you like you hung the moon, she is your girl. Now that she feels amazing, her happy Kelpie spirit shines through every day. She is always wearing a smile (as you can see from her photos!), loves to play, and wants nothing more than to be by her human's side. Whether you're hiking a trail, running errands, or winding down on the couch after a long day, Dixie is ready to buckle up and join the ride. She is incredibly devoted to her foster family and will make an absolutely stellar teammate for an active individual or family. 🏡 DIXIE'S PERFECT HOME: An active individual or family who wants a dog to integrate into their daily outings. A home WITHOUT cats or small animals. A secure yard to run around in or an owner committed to daily structured exercise and mental stimulation (Kelpies love to have a job to do!). A family ready to receive a lifetime supply of happy tail wags, grateful cuddles, and unwavering loyalty. 💌 HOW TO ADOPT: Dixie fought so hard to get here, and now she is ready for her happily ever after. Could your home be her final destination? 👉 Apply to adopt Dixie today: enidspca.org Even if you can't adopt, please SHARE Dixie's story! Let's help this resilient girl find the family she has been waiting for.
