Story
I’m Oakley, a beautiful young collie mix with a joyful personality!I’m a young, energetic boy and I love to play. I was surrendered by my owner to the Humane Society of York County, and I’m in search of a new home where my youthful energy is a better fit. I’m still a growing boy and expected to be medium size when fully grown. My estimated birth date is October 2025.While I dearly love to run and play, I’m also a very affectionate boy and love to get chest rubs and snuggles from my human friends at the rescue. I would do great with a person or family who enjoys being on the go, or has a yard where I can burn off my energy. Given my playfulness, a home without small children may be my best fit.If you’re looking for a handsome young guy with a sunny personality, call to meet me!If you wish to meet me, please call the Humane Society of York County at (803)-802-0902 to schedule an appointment. Please refer to our website for adoption requirements: https://humanesocietyofyorkcounty.org/adopt/adoption-process.htmlThank you for your support.

Story
Meet Fidget! Fidget is a sweet, energetic young dog looking for his forever home. He was found abandoned on the side of the road covered in fleas and ticks and was extremely underweight. Since then, he's been showered with love, has gained healthy weight, and is thriving. He is up to date on his rabies vaccination and is microchipped. Fidget does well with other dogs and has been great around kids. He is very playful and loves attention. He does have a high prey drive toward cats and will chase them, so he needs a home without cats. We're looking for someone who can give him the time, patience, and love he deserves. After everything he's been through, he deserves a safe, permanent home where he can continue to flourish. If you think Fidget might be a good fit for your family, we'd love to hear from you!

Story
**Meet Rosie! 🩷**At just 7 months old and around 25 pounds, Rosie is the perfect size and has an even sweeter personality to match. This beautiful girl is affectionate, gentle, and loves being close to her people. With her low-to-medium energy level, she's just as happy relaxing by your side as she is joining you for a walk or a little playtime.Rosie had the best start to life, growing up in a loving foster home with her mom and siblings before being adopted at just 8 weeks old. Sadly, through no fault of her own, her adopter is no longer able to care for her, and Rosie has found herself back at Raskel's Rescue. After spending nearly her entire life in a home, the shelter is a big, scary place for a young dog. While she's handling it the best she can, what Rosie really needs is another family to help her feel safe, loved, and secure again. If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion who's past the tiny puppy stage but still has all the wonderful qualities of a young dog, Rosie could be the perfect addition to your family. Come meet this sweet girl and help give her the forever home she deserves. ❤️Adoption Hours are Wednesday through Sunday from 11 AM to 4 PM. You do not need an appointment to come by and meet animals during adoption hours.

Story
This is a very difficult post for me to write, but I am looking for the right person or family to give my sweet girl Cyan the love and stability she deserves. Cyan is a 9-year-old, 40 lb female dog who has been a wonderful companion and a true house dog. I am relocating abroad for retirement and will be traveling for extended periods of time between multiple countries. My plan was for Cyan to remain with my son because she is part of our family, but unfortunately he has not been willing to take on the responsibility and commitment needed to properly care for her. Because of this, the responsibility has fallen on my 80-year-old mother, who is also the caregiver for my 77-year-old uncle. As much as my mom loves Cyan, it is not fair for her to carry this responsibility at this stage of her life. I want to make the most loving and responsible decision for Cyan and find her a home where she will continue to be cared for and loved. About Cyan: 🐾 9 years old 🐾 Female, spayed 🐾 Microch

Story
Meet your new adventure buddy! Pippa is a 1-2 year old Collie/Heeler mix who is pure sunshine wrapped in fur. She wakes up every day happy, excited, and ready to see what fun the world has to offer. Whether it’s hiking, playing fetch, exploring the outdoors, or tagging along for errands, she’s always ready for the next adventure. She’s incredibly smart, eager to please, and loves learning new things. She’s already doing great in the house, in her crate, and on leash, making her an easy companion to live with despite her high energy. She thrives when she has activity, structure, and people to share life with. This goofy girl absolutely LOVES other dogs and would be happiest in a home with playful dog friends to wrestle and run around with. One thing to know — if it runs, she’s probably going to want to chase it! Her herding breed instincts are strong, so she’ll need an active home that understands her energetic personality and can help channel it in positive ways. If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving, intelligent dog who will keep you laughing, keep you moving, and love you with her whole heart, this Collie/Heeler mix might just be your perfect match. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, heartworm and flea prevention and heartworm negative. Her adoption fee is $250.
