Story
Meet Rhett, the furry fellow with a heart of gold and a playful spirit! This affectionate, athletic, and gentle doggie is a true sweetheart with a fun-loving personality. Rhett is the perfect companion for those seeking a loyal and loving furry friend. At almost two year's old, Rhett is already house-trained and knows all the basics. Doc says because he is neutered and fully vetted, Rhett is healthy & approved to go into a new home as long as it’s the right family for him! He loves nothing more than to run and play outside with his fur-sibling, and he also enjoys taking a leisurely cruise in the car. He's toy and treat motivated, which makes training and bonding with him all the more fun. Rhett is a cuddly couch potato who likes to be close to his humans, whether it's snuggling up in the bed or following you around the house. He's also an independent guy, and he's just as content spending time alone exploring the yard or taking a siesta in the sun. Rhett is a true fan of the good life, appreciating a country setting and scrambled eggs for breakfast. He's an all-around good boy who is great with kids and even tolerates bath time. He does have a soft spot for his human mom and may be a bit pickier about his dad, but he's a sweet and affectionate pup who will warm your heart in no time. If you’re ready to make a life time commitment to loving and caring for Rhett unconditionally; then give us a call or message to set up a meet & greet. We can come to you or your welcome to drive into Victoria, Texas and find out just how amazing he truly is. Story
WE ADOPT IN TEXAS, OKLAHOMA AND LOUISIANA. Stevie is a 1.5 yr old male (born Christmas day 2023) that is looking for his forever family.  He is fully vetted, HW Negative and house trained. Stevie does still have some puppy like energy and would be best in a household with at least one other dog that he can play with.  He is currently being fostered in a home with multiple dogs, males and females and does well with all of them. He is timid when he first meets a new dog but so far, usually within 24 hours, he gets over it.  Almost immediately he then does everything in his powers to get them to play with him. Stevie, being just 1.5 years old is fully house trained and really does not bark very much, inside or outside.  He does have a playful side to him and is very curious.  He likes to stay active and if he gets bored, he does tend to get a little mischievous.  He definitely needs someone who has time to walk him and play with him.  If he is every left alone, he does well outside of a kennel if he has something to keep him busy.   Cognitive toys and exercises, to keep his mind busy (a treat puzzle, kong, etc.), seem to work really well.  While Stevie is playful (he bows down to other dogs and gets the zoomies a lot) he is very gentle when playing with people. He does not jump on anyone.  He will play tug-o-war and fetch with toys, but you do not have to worry about him pushing you or anyone over. Stevie does like feet! If he is ready to get up and he can get to your feet, he will lick or nibble on them. If you are putting on lotion, he will help! Also, if you have socks on and he decides that you shouldn’t he will attempt to remove them for you.  He has not been one to chew on socks, but he will play with them and sleep with them. However, if you substitute a sock with a toy, he seems to be just as happy. Also, if you have a shower that he can walk into, do not be surprised he is tries to join you or randomly enters the shower throughout the day. Stevie has not shown any food aggression and does well, eating next to other dogs and getting treats with the other dogs.  He is also gentle when taking food from your hand. He came from a home that had other dogs, cats and kids and while his foster home only has dogs, he has done well with cats and kids that he has encountered on his walks.  He walks well on a leash and doesn’t cause any issues when out for a walk. He is currently working on basic commands and does well when his training is one on one. Overall, especially for his young age, Stevie is a really good boy!  He seems eager to please and is so very friendly and loving.  Please apply at freedomcollierescue.org  ##2393901##

Story
WE ADOPT IN TEXAS, OKLAHOMA AND LOUISIANA. Molly is a very pretty smaller girl at 48 lbs and about a year and a half old.  She definitely still has some puppy in her and loves to play with her foster brother and sister.  They are older than she is and occasionally have to remind her about appropriate play behavior.  She has learned quickly that her 13 year old foster sister has no interest in playing. She enjoys toys and tug-of-war and playing in what was likely her first snow.  She is housebroken, crate trained, walks well on a leash and loves attention but is still learning what "off" means.  She can be possessive of food but does just fine being fed in her crate.  She is up to date on her shots, microchipped, spayed and heartworm negative.  She will chase a squirrel in a second so probably needs to be in a home with no cats but would do well with another dog to play with.  We have not had her around children but so far she hasn't met a person she didn't like.  She'll need a family that will continue teaching her manners but you'll be rewarded with lots of love.  She would do well with an active family to keep her engaged and active. She has also been taught to sit before her bowl is put down and wait until you tell her "ok" before she eats.  She would make a good couch buddy if someone wanted.  A fenced yard is required.    Please apply at freedomcollierescue.org   ##2254780##

Story
WE ADOPT IN TEXAS, OKLAHOMA AND LOUISIANA. Blake is just over a year old.  He is extremely friendly and outgoing! He’s very curious and gentle, great around kids and other animals including dogs, cats, and small animals (he gets along great with my parrot). Blake is house trained, and making great progress with his sit, stay, lay down, and recall. He loves to follow you around everywhere, play fetch and tug of war, sleep next to you, and cob on your arm. He is a pleasure to have around and always happy to see you, and would do best with a very active family that has lots of room for him to play and lots of love to give. A fenced yard is required.  If interested, please apply on line at freedomcollierescue.org   ##2336289##

Story
We adopt our collies out in Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana Holly, the jolly collie, is the sweetest foster we have ever had!  She is very affectionate and really craves human contact and praise. The end of her tail just wags non-stop whenever she hears “good girl” and loving words of approval. Holly enjoys going out for daily walks and is good on a leash. She can walk swiftly at times, so you will have to keep up, unless she’s preoccupied sniffing around all the different scents. She’s also very friendly with other dogs, children, and adults and can be vocal when she gets excited and when other dogs initially bark at her to play. Incredibly good with our chickens and leaves them alone when they are free ranging. Holly is also very respectful to our senior collie, and knows to maintain personal space and is not food aggressive at all. She also behaves very well when dining outdoors at restaurants by patiently waiting and not begging for food. Holly can be in a home as the only dog, since she loves her people more, or would also do well with another senior dog.  She will easily become your new best friend and sleeping and cuddling companion (loves sleeping in bed with you and being close to you). Whoever adopts this precious 6-year-old girl will truly be fortunate!  A fenced yard is required. Holly is currently being fostered in the San Antonio area.   If interested in Holly, please apply on line at freedomcollierescue.org ##2403975##
