Hi everyone, social media lady here!<br/> <br/>Can I tell you about Peanut?<br/> <br/>Shes shy... but shes one of the bravest dogs Ive met. <br/> <br/>Peanut doesnt walk into new situations like she owns the place. She takes a second to look around, figure things out, and decide if everything is okay. It takes her a bit, but once she realizes shes safe, shes all in.<br/> <br/>I recently took her to a news station with me, and while she was definitely nervous, she handled it so gracefully. Loud noises and people walking up to her too quickly would startle her, but instead of shutting down, shed come right back to me. After only a few minutes together, shed already decided I was her safe person.<br/> <br/>That says so much about her.<br/> <br/>Shes the kind of dog who just needs someone to believe in her.<br/> <br/>She even surprised herself that day. She needed a little help getting into the car at first, but when it was time to head back to the shelter, I gave her a moment to think it through. She took some time, gathered her courage, and hopped out all by herself. It was such a small moment, but it felt like a huge win.<br/> <br/>Peanut is still learning that the world isnt so scary. Shes only a year old, and after spending the last three months in the shelter, shes finally started to settle in. That tells me everything I need to know. She can adjust. She just needs a little time, patience, and someone willing to let her move at her own pace.<br/> <br/>She wasnt too interested in treats, but hand her a pup cup, and suddenly youve made a new best friend. She even enjoyed riding in the car, quietly watching the world go by through the window.<br/> <br/>I truly believe that once Peanut has a home to call her own, shes going to blossom into an incredible companion.<br/> <br/>Shes already so close.
