Dexter is a tenderhearted 2-year-old who weighs 18 lbs. Don't let his white muzzle fool you.... he's a young sweet boy. He is a little shy at first, but once he knows you’re kind, his heart opens wide. He has been treated for heart worm while at the rescue and is Chagas negative. He craves gentle affection and will blossom in a patient, calm home where he feels safe. Coming from a background where he likely wasn’t cared for....he just needs time and love to learn that he is finally home. Dexter gets along well with other dogs here at the rescue...and loves people. Once he trusts you, he is the sweetest little companion you could ask for. Darling Dexter is located at our shelter near San Antonio, TX and is available for transport to Chelsea, MI on June 20th with approved application and confirmed adoption. His adoption fee is $450. This fee includes transport cost. 

Every dog adopted through Tracy’s Paws receives: • Chagas, heart worm, and tick testing (when age-appropriate) • All core vaccines (age-appropriate) • Heart worm and flea/tick preventatives • Regular De-worming • Spay/neuter surgery • Microchip

6/21/2025-Hello there! My name is Teddy! I am about 2 years old and weigh only about 37 lbs. I am super super friendly and I welcome anyone to come play. My favorite toy is my pink squeaky ball, you can see how awesome it is in my pictures! I do like to fetch, I don’t always bring it back because I can’t do ALL the work! You gotta have fun too! I walk pretty well on a leash already. I do get excited sometimes, but I think I’m easy to handle. I love cuddles and kisses! I don’t mind being carried like a baby, in fact, I kind of like it. I do well with other dogs, I just need slow introductions. I think I’d make a really good friend for you! And as a BONUS I’m like super handsome, so I’m ready for all the pictures you’ll want to take of me I have all my vaccines, and I’m already neutered! My adoption fee is only $100!! Come on by to meet me!
