Meet Lafayette aka Lafifi, an incurable flirt with a new outlook on life. He entered our Mended Cape program on Mardi Gras 2025. He was initially surrendered to the Solano SPCA, however, he rapidly declined in their environment and they reached out for assistance with placing him into a foster based rescue with our SUPER team. This handsome and chatty boy had a difficult time, regulating his anxiety and stress so we begin to seek a cause for his inconsistent behavior. Long story short he had a retained testicle that was pumping testosterone through his veins and leaving him feeling like a teenage boy on the edge. Our fantastic vet partner has removed his ‘pest-isle’ and he’s on his way to being a happy, well adjusted, house cat once more. We are currently seeking a long-term foster who has the opportunity to adopt him. He may not have a significant relief from his hormones until December 2025, but he has stopped displaying most of the unwanted behaviors that an intact male would. He is a gentle, chatty, playful, affectionate boy who does well with women, calm dogs, and patient confident cats, but he would be happy to soak up all of your attention and be the center of your world. She may start off a little shy but give her a moment and you’ll see her playful side burst through—especially if toys are involved! Wand toys, crinkle tunnels, bouncy balls… she’s a fan of them all.   She’s wonderfully social with other cats and enjoys their company, often joining in on group play or curling up near a furry friend. This sweet girl truly wears her heart on her sleeve — she even has a little heart-shaped marking on her shoulder to prove it. Sevgi adores her siblings and is a playful, affectionate kitten once she feels safe. She can be a bit cautious at first and may growl to let you know she’s nervous, but give her a moment and you’ll see her gentle, loving side shine through. She would be happiest adopted with one of her siblings, but if not, she’d prefer to be the only cat in the home. Sevgi wants to be someone’s special girl and isn’t big on sharing her people. One of our favorite things to do is find spring and crinkle ball toys, toss them in the bathtub, and play soccer.  I love interactive play, enjoy lots of petting, and often drift off to sleep next to people. I get along wonderfully with my brother Geno and all other foster animals. We love curling up together and sleeping with our foster mom. Laramie and her brother Geno are positive for Feline Coronavirus (FCoV) which is a common virus in cats; they have no symptoms and require no medication. Because the virus is transmissible between cats Geno and Laramie should be the only cats in the home.
