Wherever he goes, this handsome boy turns heads — and hearts! ❤️ Smart, strong, and full of curiosity, Atlas loves going for walks where he can take in all the neighborhood scents and proudly deliver his “pee-mails.” He’s an energetic guy who enjoys adventure and learning new things. With a little guidance and the right harness, he’s already showing progress on his leash skills and enjoys practicing good manners. Atlas is friendly and curious with smaller dogs and would do well with slow introductions. He’s a quick learner who responds beautifully to structure and praise. While he’s not much into toys yet, he’s always grateful for a good meal, a soft bed, and some love from his humans. He’s doing well on his house training — he knows outside is the place to go, and with a little more consistency, he’ll be a pro in no time! Atlas has a deep, expressive bark that’s just his way of talking to you — never excessive, always full of personality. And when we say he’s smart, we mean smart: once, he managed a little solo adventure after slipping out of his harness, only to trot right back home and bark at the front door like, “Miss me?” 🐶💫 Atlas is ready for a home that appreciates his goofy intelligence, loyal heart, and adventurous spirit. Meet Sophia! Sophia is a mostly white hound mix who was found as a stray with her sister Mia. The pups were dumped in a wooded rural area near the Memphis TN area. Good samaritans have been taking care of the two pups but now it is time for them to find permanent homes. Sophia is about 4 months old, currently weighs 20 pounds and is a stunning girl! Very different looking than the other dogs at the dog park! She has typical long floppy hound ears, cute brown markings on her head only, and is already sporting some adorable spots on her tummy. She is healthy, up to date on shots and spayed. She will be ready to travel by mid December. Sophia is currently in TN but will be transported north to New England for adoption. The adoption donation is $400 which includes a health certificate and costs for the transport north. If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please go to www.angelsamongusanimalrescue.org and fill out an online adoption application. Thank you! *Unless stated otherwise, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, on flea/tick product and heartworm prevention medicine (if older than 5 months) and micro chipped prior to adoption. *Please note that while we do our best to accurately state the breed or breed mix of a dog, we often have very limited information to draw from. Identifying the breed without pedigrees and information on heritage can be very challenging! Massachusett's Residents: Effective September 28, 2017 a Quarantine Fee of $100 will be required (in addition to the adoption fee) to adopt a dog that has been Quarantined. Massachusetts mandates that all dogs entering MA shall be quarantined for 48 hours in a state approved facility.
