Story
Are you looking for a quirky hound boy, full of personality, with the cutest little underbite? Then Mitchell is your guy! Mitchell is a 2 year old, 40lb hound mix who loves to go for walks and LOVES treats. He's not picky, he's happy with one big walk a day or several small walks, as long as he gets to do a little sniffing around here and there. He is house trained and crate trained, he will walk to the door when he needs to go potty and hasn't had any accidents in his foster home! Mitchell loves to play with his toys and will bring you each one to show you what he plans to play with next. Once he's finished playing he will come and lean against you for cuddles. He is a true hound and will sing to you when he's excited, he can also be a stubborn guy but will do absolutely anything for a pupperoni! Mitchell is dog-selective which means he will need slow introductions to any doggie siblings and a space of his own to settle in. He gets along great with all three of his doggie foster sisters and is very respectful of his cat foster brother. Mitchell is very loving and a little nervous in new situations, he's looking for a family that will be patient as he gets to know you and will appreciate this sweet and goofy guy. His adoption fee is $275. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, fully up to date on vaccinations, including rabies (if age appropriate) and Bordetella, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Hi my name is REY.  I’m a 10 week old, 15 pound coon hound.  I’m super soft with irresistible puppy dog eyes.  I love playing with my brother BUD, resident dog Rosie and kids! I’m new to this puppy thing but I’m doing great on a leash and working on my potty training.  My foster mom says I’m doing really well in my crate.  If you are missing a loveable, playful and snuggle bug I’m your girl!!! Adoption fee is $250 All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.   February 28, 2024, 12:13 pm

Story
Meet Phil! He started his time in rescue with a broken paw…though healed, he continues to walk a bit flat-footed. It doesn’t slow him down! Phil would thrive with an active family, and he does well with the other dog in the house. Crate-trained, mostly house-trained (still the occasional accident if overexcited). As a coonhound, Phil is very vocal and he loves his food!   The adoption fee for puppies under 6 months of age is $250. If the puppy is too young or small to be fixed there will be a $75 spay/neuter rebate form provided. They currently have at least 1 puppy shot,, flea preventative, heartworm preventative and are microchipped with lifetime registration ($13).  If you have serious interest in this puppy, please fill out an application (don't call, email or text before filling out an app or you will have a greater chance of missing out on this puppy). Applications can be filled out at this link. https://www.petstablished.com/adoption_form/10167/generic . ##1876583##

Story
Rowan looks like he has been through alot and we would like to find him a home where he will be loved and cherished. He came into the shelter with some pretty severe lacerations or possibly tied up with a cable that infected his neck. He is doing much better now and has healed up about 90%. He has been neutered and up to date on all shots. Rowan is dog selective so either needs to be the only dog in the home or we can do a meet and greet to see how he does with your dog. Please consider adopting Rowan!!! He deserves to get out of the shelter and start a good life.
