Story
Athena proves how different dogs can act pending environmental or health changes. Athena loves to use her nose, she LOVES her people / family. She's made it clear shes not a "city" dog. She does far better in less traffic / less chaotic situations. She can also climb a tree or two. Athena has done great with me, my dad and my two sons. She has been fine with all of our barn cats. After an adjustment, she's done fine with dogs through neighboring fence lines as well. She has played well with two other dogs at separate times. Athena loves her treat puzzles and snuffle bowls. She loves having a routine and boundaries. She gets SO excited to see me and does the boot scoot zoomie across the yard.   Athena loves me so much that if I leave the yard with her in it, she climbs out. I would love to find her an understanding home without big dog park, visitor, leash walk expectations. She's completely content in her home and her backyard. Athena is ready for a foster or adopter! Meet Bo! 🐾 Gentle | Sweet | High-Energy Hound Bo is a striking Coonhound with soulful eyes and a soft, speckled coat that’s just as unique as his personality. At about 40 pounds, he’s the perfect size for snuggles on the couch after an adventure outdoors. Bo has blossomed during his time in our care — he now walks beautifully on a leash and is perfectly potty trained! He’s a sweet, affectionate “velcro dog” who bonds closely with his people and loves attention. Bo is also very dog friendly and would thrive in a home with a confident canine companion who can help show him the ropes. While Bo can be a little nervous in new situations, his gentle nature shines through. His kennel has been his comfort zone in the shelter, but in a home environment, he’ll be able to relax and let his true personality come forward. 🐶 Dog Testing: Bo can be a little shy at first when meeting new dogs, but he warms up quickly. He offers tail wags, gentle curiosity, and just needs a little confidence to join in on the fun. If you’re looking for a sweet, high-energy hound who’s loyal, loving, and ready for his second chance, Bo is waiting to meet you! 💛 P.S.
