Story
Hi there, my name is Talullah and I am a two year old coonhound mix with long legs, soft ears, and a heart that is way bigger than my 39 pounds. I started out as a stray, but you would never know it by how quickly I decided that people, puppies, and even cats are pretty great company. I am a sweet little hound girl who believes cuddling is very important business. One time when I was at the shelter, waiting for my ride to Happy Bark, I even helped myself into the puppy area just so I could snuggle them, it made everyone laugh and honestly I felt very proud of myself. I am also good with the office cat, I know how to be polite and calm, even when my nose is curious. I have medium energy and a pretty chill vibe. I am happy to hang out with you, keep you company, and enjoy a relaxed day. Every once in a while I get the zoomies and show off my silly side, but it does not last long and then I am right back to being your easygoing hound girl. If you are looking for a loving, gentle dog who enjoys cuddles, gets along well with others, and brings just the right amount of fun into your life, I might be your perfect match. I am ready to find my person and my forever home. Talullah's adoption fee is $275. You can learn more about Talullah and other dogs at Happy Bark by visiting www.happybark.org PA Kennel License 17445

Story
Well hello there, my name is Daisy, and I am a six year old coonhound mix with long legs, soft ears, and a heart that really loves people. I weigh about forty three pounds, just the right size for couch snuggles and neighborhood strolls. I came to a shelter as a stray, which means my past is a little bit of a mystery, but what matters most is where I am headed next, hopefully home with you. I am a sweet and gentle girl who truly enjoys human affection. Petting time is my favorite time, whether that is a nice scratch behind my ears or just leaning quietly against you while you relax. I have done well with other dogs and passed all my testing, so I am happy to have canine friends. I should let you know that cats are not my cup of tea, so a cat free home would be best for everyone. At my age, I am past all the wild puppy business. I know how to appreciate the simple things, a comfy bed, kind voices, tasty treats, and someone who enjoys my calm and loving nature. I would be a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loyal, affectionate dog who is ready to settle into a steady routine and enjoy life together. If you are looking for a sweet soul to keep you company and remind you every day how nice it is to be loved, I think we might be a perfect match. Daisy's adoption fee is $275. Story
From Piper's foster family: We fostered Miss Piper for about 3 weeks and learned quite a lot! Most importantly, she is the absolute sweetest girl who thrives on human connection and would happily spend her days curled up next to you on the couch soaking in all the cuddles! She is quite a sensitive little lady and does best with gentle guidance/positive reinforcement. Raised voices/scolding make her a bit fearful (even yelling coming from the TV!) Piper has been making slow and steady progress with house training. She struggled (more than the average dog) at first with appropriate ‘potty’ locations, but with structure and consistency, she has made big improvements! While she may still have the occasional accident, she’s learning, and truly making progress! With consistency, patience, and continued pain management, she’s showing great potential. Having her on leash with me in the home as she has developed a routine with us, has helped her make huge strides in this area as well. She’s a smart cookie and has already learned some excellent household manners, like giving space during meals and redirecting herself to appropriate play or rest time. Piper does well in her crate, particularly when given enrichment such as frozen Kongs, puzzle toys, or other fun activities to keep her busy. She may bark a few times at first, but we have found that she settles herself very quickly. We had a camera on her crate and would watch it periodically when we left the house- 90% of the time she was curled up sleeping, the other 10% she was chewing on a toy/enrichment and entertaining herself. Piper has played well with our resident dogs- 2 females and 2 males of various ages and temperaments. She’s learning how to accept corrections when she gets a little too enthusiastic, though she may need guidance at first in a home with a very dominant or reactive dog. She enjoys both playing with her canine friends and entertaining herself with toys. Like many young, curious dogs, Piper can get into mischief if left unsupervised and will happily redecorate if given the chance, so supervision and management are important. She’s also a known stuffy destroyer and may ingest stuffing, so durable, hard toys are the safest choice for her. Piper is a people-oriented, Velcro-style dog who bonds deeply with her ‘people’ and would do best in a home that can offer patience, structure, and understanding, especially as she continues working on house training and managing her hip discomfort. Overall, Piper is truly a good girl with a loving heart who just needs the right family to help her keep growing into the amazing dog she’s meant to be.
