Story
Nipsey is looking for someone with a big, patient heart to help her learn how to dog. She’s such a Nervous Nelly at the moment. She’s not super comfortable being around people, but we’re helping her practice. At the moment she prefers her space and keeping some distance from you. Nipsey’s nerves often have her coming across as rude when she’s really just scared. She just appreciates lots of space. Even loose in the play yard – which is most shelter dogs’ happy place – her anxiety shows. She trots laps and maintains as much distance from you as she possibly can. She seems most comfortable in her kennel by herself. As treat motivated as she is, we think that’s the ticket to her heart. She’ll happily take treats gently from your hand through her kennel, but then she scampers off to eat them by herself. She has done well interacting with other dogs in shelter playgroups though, and she's also proven herself to be potty trained! With lots of time and patience in a previous foster home she warmed up well to the children, and even enjoyed them loving and petting on her. We know it’ll take a special soul to help Nipsey trust people, but she’s worth it!

Meet Dyno! At just 11 months old, Dyno is the sweetest boy you will ever meet. After being found wandering the streets, he's shown everyone he has met that he's nothing but a total lover boy who is ready for his forever home. Dyno has been extremely friendly with every dog he has met and loves every person he comes across. He has the most wonderful manners. Crate-trained, potty-trained and is the most easy-going companion. What else could you ask for?! Dyno enjoys going for walks, playing with his foster siblings and curling up on the couch to cuddle you at the end of the day. He shows his love by giving lots of kisses and nibbling your toes! One thing to know about Dyno: he has displayed fear-based reactivity toward teenage boys on multiple occasions — cowering, barking, and raised hackles. This appears rooted in his unknown history as a stray. Dyno is not a good fit for homes with teenage boys at this time. CCR has scheduled a training session in his foster home to help Dyno build confidence, and we will update his profile as he progresses. Our boy has SO much love to give and is ready to leave his past behind for a family who will cherish him forever. Meet sweet Ruby! Miss Ruby was found as a stray alongside Fletch. They say they’re siblings… but honestly they look nothing alike, so our guess is they either came from the same home and were dumped together or found each other while surviving on the streets. Either way, these two clearly leaned on each other. Ruby is an absolute DOLL. She is the definition of happy-go-lucky and truly loves everyone and everything she meets. During temperament testing she was perfect with every dog — ready to play, ready for attention, and ready to give love right back. Whatever this sweet girl has been through, you would never know it. Ruby chooses joy every single time. She has the sweetest spirit, the happiest little face, and a heart that is just waiting for someone to love forever.
