Story
🐾 Copper is ready to follow his nose... straight into your heart! 💛 If you've ever dreamed of having a loyal sidekick with movie-star looks, floppy ears for days, and just the right amount of goofy charm, then meet Copper! This handsome 6–8 month old Yellow Coonhound was rescued from Smith County Animal Shelter and is now searching for the forever family he's always deserved. With his gorgeous golden coat, soulful eyes, and classic hound "aroo," Copper is impossible not to fall in love with. Copper is everything a puppy should be—curious, playful, affectionate, and always ready for his next adventure. He loves romping around with the other dogs in his foster home, tossing toys around the yard, and then curling up for snuggles after a day of fun. He's incredibly friendly with everyone he meets and has never met a stranger. This smart boy is already crate trained, doing great with house training, and rides wonderfully in the car. He's very food motivated (treats are definitely the way to his heart!) and learns quickly, making training a fun experience. He's still polishing up his leash manners—after all, those exciting smells can be hard to resist—but with a little consistency and patience, we're confident he'll master them in no time. Copper would love a home that enjoys adventures, playtime, and plenty of love. Whether it's hiking, exploring a new trail, playing fetch in the backyard, or simply being your loyal companion, Copper is ready to be by your side through it all. If you're looking for a dog who will make you laugh, keep you active, and love you with his whole heart, Copper is waiting to meet you. 💛 Copper is ready to trade shelter life for couch cuddles, family adventures, and a lifetime of love. Could your home be the happy ending he's been waiting for?

Story
Friedas story is a true rescue story. We walk our dogs when time permits by the lake, so all loaded up in the cars, ready to drive to the lake, which is a huge dumping ground for dogs in this area. and sure enough, here hobbles Frieda toward our moving car begging for help. Of course we stopped, of course we brought her home and proper vetting was provided, including FHO surgery to fix her hip. She was in pain when she arrived, quiet, stoic almost, not showing much emotion........until she started feeling healthy and made a total 180!!!! She is funny, she makes the craziest grimaces, she likes to have conversations and also will complain if You are not fast enough to fix her lunch. Frieda is fed separately because as most dogs that have experienced starvation, she is in food protective mode but not food aggressive. She will sit and wait her turn to get treats with 10 other dogs around her. Frieda also likes her beauty naps and does not get up in the morning until she is woken up......Diva! She is so entertaining and wonderfully peculiar, she is one of a kind. Have I mentioned that she does not shed much? Easy maintenance, no special grooming required. Now I need to make clear that she still sometimes lifts her previously bad leg, I think it is mostly out of habit, and her mobility is steadily improving. She could be an apartment dog only if lots of walking is part of her daily routine. I think she prefers male dogs but then again she loves my Kipp, they are besties. I have truly enjoyed having her because she makes me laugh especially when she and I have deep discussions over important social issues such as how much longer she has to wait on a new batch of peanut butter dog cookies. I promise, if given the chance to adjust to a new home and given the patience, You will not regret adopting this stunning lady. P S she loves to "help" with folding towels and stealing my tennis shoes to put them in the living room
