Story
Do you love an adorable pup with big, floppy ears? Lucky for you, this adorable Hound mix puppy is ready for her forever home! Meet Maple! She’s ready to snuggle up with you, go on adventures together, and be your new best friend! At just 3 months old, this little cutie is ready to go everywhere and do everything with you. Do you want a fishing buddy, camping compadre, hiking friend, or just a companion to stroll around the neighborhood with? The great thing about adopting a puppy is that you can mold and shape that puppy into the ultimate best friend who loves to do all the same things as you. Currently weighing 18 lbs, we think Maple will likely be about 50-60 lbs full grown, and we think she’s either a Coonhound or Foxhound mix, but with rescue it’s just our best guess. We cannot guarantee breed or size. Maple is an athletic girl who loves to jump, run, and play with the other dogs. When she's not playing with the other dogs, she will happily entertain herself with her favorite toys. When it's cuddle time, she will joyfully snuggle up with her humans and give lots of kisses. She still loves to be held in your arms like a baby, and she will soak up any affection and attention she cant get. Maple was found with her two siblings, hanging out in the roadway, when a kind citizen scooped them up and took them to safety. They were likely dumped there, as is the sad reality for so many puppies in Texas. Shelters here are even euthanizing innocent little puppies like Maple. Already making great progress on her crate training and potty training, she is eager to learn. She is great with other dogs, humans of all ages, and she’s young enough to learn to live with a cat. This makes her an easy addition to just about any home. Don’t miss your chance to bring this little cuties home; apply today! Currently fostered in Texas, she is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to travel to their forever home in the PNW or NE areas. Apply here! https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/662c9f354508699edf039458 Please email Leah.Smith@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Adoption fee includes transport to these states: WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, CT, VT, NY, PA, OH and BC Canada (Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA, approximately 30 minutes from the Canadian border). Brought by USDA licensed transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! Our dogs travel in style in our transport vehicle, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and onboard attendants providing 24-hour care. Local adoption in Texas is also available. The adoption fee is $825 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2-6 months of heartworm preventative according to age, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with a free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! In addition to a fully vetted furbaby, you also receive many other additional perks such as a • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is one of the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone! Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no choice but to euthanize animals for space. We prepare them for adoption by properly vetting and providing individualized care through our incredible behavior program that consists of socialization and leash training for all animals that enter our adoption program, prior to matching them with loving families who will treasure them for the rest of their lives. They are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts once adopted, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! Three Little Pitties Rescue just celebrated our 5 year anniversary! Over the course of this time, we have been very fortunate for so much growth, allowing us to further connect with the community and save many lives. Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 11,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be brought into our rescue program. Together, we can be heroes. Follow along on our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $62 surcharge. Story
Texas is a WONDERFULLY SWEET dog who was continually looked over a the shelter. Thanks to one of our fosters, we were able to pull him from the shelter and give him a chance at finding a LOVING home. This is what his foster said: "Texas is the sweetest dog. He is such a snuggle bug and wants to be pet and held all the time. He knows come and sit, but other things we are still working on. He pulls REAL hard on a leash but he's learning! We have him learning with a lil lead around his snout that has helped him a lot. He loves being outside and would really benefit being with people who have a yard for him to play in. He has a TON of energy. He wants to chew on balls, but not chase them. He isn't being crate trained currently since we really don't have a ton of space for a big crate but I could see him really benefitting from a crate at night as he has a designated bed he knows is his space and he loves it. He has the deepest bark ever and if Texas does something bad and you tell him "no you can tell he knows and feels bad. He just wants to love everyone and make them happy. We are still working on not jumping on people because he is so big but he is doing SO much better. He knows when I come he has to sit before I will come in the backyard gate and love on him and he waits so patiently. Overall, Texas is a big, handsome, derpy boy with a heart of gold and so much love to give. If anyone has seen Emporers New Groove, it should be noted we almost named him Kronk. He deserves to be adopted into a family who will be patient with him while he learns more manners and love him and his cuddles. "
