Story
Do you love an adorable pup with big, floppy ears? Lucky for you, this adorable Hound mix puppy is ready for his forever home! Meet Cooper! He’s ready to snuggle up with you, go on adventures together, and be your new best friend! At just 3 months old, this little cutie is ready to go everywhere and do everything with you. Do you want a fishing buddy, camping compadre, hiking friend, or just a companion to stroll around the neighborhood with? The great thing about adopting a puppy is that you can mold and shape that puppy into the ultimate best friend who loves to do all the same things as you. Currently weighing 22 lbs, we think Cooper will likely be about 70 lbs full grown, and we think he’s either a Coonhound or Foxhound mix, but with rescue it’s just our best guess. We cannot guarantee breed or size. Cooper is the more laid-back and quiet one of the litter. He's a sweet and sensitive boy who is a bit clumsy with his big paws. He loves to cuddle up in your nap if you sit with him. He loves nothing more than to be with his people and follow them around. Cooper was found with his two siblings, hanging out in the roadway, when a kind citizen scooped them up and took them to safety. They were likely dumped there, as is the sad reality for so many puppies in Texas. Shelters here are even euthanizing innocent little puppies like Cooper. Already making great progress on his crate training and potty training, he is eager to learn. He is great with other dogs, humans of all ages, and he’s young enough to learn to live with a cat. This makes him an easy addition to just about any home. Don’t miss your chance to bring this little cutie home; apply today! Currently fostered in Texas, he is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to travel to his forever home in the PNW or NE areas. Apply here! https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/662c9edf930fc25c1a05345e Please email Leah.Smith@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Adoption fee includes transport to these states: WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, CT, VT, NY, PA, OH and BC Canada (Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA, approximately 30 minutes from the Canadian border). Brought by USDA licensed transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! Our dogs travel in style in our transport vehicle, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and onboard attendants providing 24-hour care. Local adoption in Texas is also available. The adoption fee is $825 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2-6 months of heartworm preventative according to age, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with a free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! In addition to a fully vetted furbaby, you also receive many other additional perks such as a • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is one of the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone! Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no choice but to euthanize animals for space. We prepare them for adoption by properly vetting and providing individualized care through our incredible behavior program that consists of socialization and leash training for all animals that enter our adoption program, prior to matching them with loving families who will treasure them for the rest of their lives. They are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts once adopted, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! Three Little Pitties Rescue just celebrated our 5 year anniversary! Over the course of this time, we have been very fortunate for so much growth, allowing us to further connect with the community and save many lives. Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 11,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be brought into our rescue program. Together, we can be heroes. Follow along on our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $62 surcharge. DISCLAIMER- Breed type is determined based on general appearance and behavioral characteristics, and cannot be guaranteed unless DNA test results or AKC registration were provided at intake.

Story
My partner and I adopted Luna at 6 months old. She is now 3 years old. She has always been a very happy and loving girl. Luna loves to go on walks to sniff everything possible, car rides with the window down, dog parks, and sleeping. Luna is potty trained, sleeps in a crate, and can be left alone at home (uncrated) for up to 5 or 6 hours. She is a quiet dog and will only bark if she senses danger. She's lived in a big city with adults. She's been around babies and kids and has done well although they can sometimes make her nervous. We'd prefer that she goes to a home with older children. In general, she's a shy girl but does just fine in public places. Luna needs at least 40 mins of excercise (walks, hikes, dog parks). She has only ever shown food agression with other dogs when she was younger. For this reason, we always feed her separated from other dogs. She knows quiet, sit, speak, shake, and down. Her recall is unreliable due to her breed characteristics.
