Story
Beau is a loving, affectionate 5 year old Corgi/Heeler mix who has been part of our family since he was 8 weeks old. His birthday is 4/26/2021. Beau is a very smart, athletic and food driven dog who loves spending time with his people. He is house-trained, neutered, healthy and up to date on his vaccinations. He enjoys being outdoors, getting exercise and loves belly rubs. He has a very affectionate side and can be an incredibly sweet companion. Beau does have some behavioral challenges and can become uncomfortable with people attempting to pet or handle him and may warn by snarling or growling. He has bitten in the past and has broken skin. We have not been able to identify one consistent trigger so his behavior should be watched carefully. Beau needs an experienced, patient adopter who understands dog behavior and is willing to give him space and positive-reinforcement training. We love Beau so much and just need to find the right home for him.

Story
This has been a very difficult, and long, drawn-out decision. Benji is 2 years old. The last year, he began fighting with his brother consistently. In the same time span, I have become a single mother, at capacity. Benji would have to be the only animal in the house, and probably no children as well, as a safety precaution with his large and spunky personality. He loves to be pet and is very demanding of your attention and cuddles. He “talks” and is very hyper. He does mark every now and then despite being neutered and trained. He gets extremely excited with any new person, and pees. He thrives on attention and love, and likes to find objects to sleep under like a table. He loves walks. He shouldn’t jump off of things due to his breed, and the possibility of hurting his back. He’s extremely playful and would love to play all day long. He would thrive with a retired couple or person that is able to get his energy out. He has had no medical issues.
