Meet Finley! Finley is a 2.5 year old purebred Pembroke Welsh Corgi with a BIG personality and an even bigger love for his person. If you’re looking for a velcro dog who wants to be wherever you are, Finley may be your guy! His favorite place in the world is his person’s lap, and personal space simply isn’t a concept he understands. He’ll even take a running start onto the couch just to land right beside you; or directly in your lap!Finley loves to cuddle, play with toys, and spend time with his people. He walks nicely on leash, is crate trained, and gets along well with cats. He is currently unaltered and may occasionally hike his leg indoors, but he does not fully potty in the house and is considered house trained.Finley would do best with older children, ideally 10+, as his herding instincts can make him a little mouthy during play. He also has some challenges when meeting other dogs. He can initially be vocal and growly and does not have the best doggy social skills. He currently lives with multiple dogs, but getting to that point took months of patience, proper introductions, and adjustment. Because of this, Finley may be happiest as the only dog in the home. He could potentially live successfully with another dog, but his adopter will need to be patient, experienced, and willing to carefully manage introductions and the adjustment period.Finley isn't the dog for everyone but for the right person, he could be an incredibly loving and devoted companion. He wants to be his person's whole world, and in return, he'll happily make you his.

We bought him from a friend, he’s beyond sweet and a little clingy but need attention that we can’t give. We have very busy schedule and a young child that takes up a lot of our available time. The best thing for Beans is to have the attention and time he deserves to be the playful puppy he is. We took him in late April this year, I believe as of now he is about 6 months old.

Every life is filled with highs and lows, but mine? Mostly lows. I don't mean that in a negative way. I just mean that, with these little legs, I live my life six inches off the ground. My name is Charlie, but Charlie is a really common name and I'm not the only Charlie in this shelter, so they usually call me "Low-Rider Charlie" or "Long-Short Charlie." I occasionally get "Old Man Charlie" even though, at only seven years old, I'm literally the youngest Charlie here. I just have geezer vibes.That's another "low" in my life: I'm very low-key. I don't do anything fast. I'm one heck of a couch potato (I'm even potato-shaped- 52 lb.) Oh, you want to go for a walk? Well, you have fun with that. I'll stay home and make sure this dog bed doesn't fly away. I can be convinced to go for a mosey now and then, but you might have to bribe me with the promise of a snack and a bird watching break in the middle.So come and get me. Let's do nothing together.
