NOT TAKING APPLICATIONS:  Many dogs, particularly breeder, hoarder or senior dogs, can have multiple medical issues that need addressed.  Additionally, sometimes we take in young puppies requiring multiple vaccinations and/or quarantining.   In this particular case, we are not yet taking applications either due to age or possible illness or some other reason.  We will post when s(he) is ready for adoption.  In the interest of fairness, EARLY application submissions will NOT be considered.  Please note…  we cannot respond to messages/emails, etc., on dogs that are NOT yet available for adoption.  Please wait until the dog is available for adoption.  We will post him or her on Facebook in our Adoptable Dog Album pinned to the top of our page which you can follow at this link:  https://www.facebook.com/share/1B46skRWF5/ OR you can keep checking our website at www.roadtorescuela.org.  We appreciate your cooperation and understanding. “The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.”  ~ Gandhi Be responsible ~  Always spay/neuter, keep your dogs on heartworm prevention, vaccinate against disease... and if you bring a pet into your life, commit to that pet for life.  Blessings. Story
Amelia “Millie” Blue is a 3yo female corgi with a beautiful and unique coat color. A year ago she had a litter of puppies. All was well until our dachshund got too close to the litter, triggering the first of many fights between Millie and our dachshund. Millie began to exhibit resource guarding and aggression toward our dachshund. Eventually, we realized we could not support the two living together and made the difficult decision of rehoming Millie. We’ve never seen her be aggressive with a human, only our other dogs when it comes to food and attention. She is playful, energetic, goofy, and loving. She adores attention and would be an amazing companion in a single-dog home. She gives wonderful cuddles, loves fetch and treats and belly rubs. Please help us find a loving home for her to thrive in! We love her so much, but we know she’d be happier in a household where she can be the star of the show! Please consider her, her fluffiness, her silliness, and her warm and sweet heart < 3
