Story
Ellie Mae is a sweet Corgi puppy (born April 2025) looking for a family who would like to play with her, take her on walks and teach her everything she needs to know as she grows.  She is crate trained and friendly with dogs and cats.  Ellie Mae likes to speak her mind and will occasionally dig in the yard as puppies tend to do.  She's doing very well with house training, but still needs to be supervised.  The perfect home for Ellie Mae will have a fenced yard and people who will make sure she gets the exercise she needs. Previous herding dog experience would be a plus!  She has not been around children, so we're not sure how she would do.  Ellie Mae walks okay on her leash, but will benefit from some additional training. The suggested adoption donation for Ellie Mae is $415, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training). Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $399,000 covered mainly through adoption fees.   Please Note: A Courtesy Post designates that an animal is still in the home of its owner and not in a Muddy Paws foster. This means that our exposure to the animal is limited since we only assist the owner in finding a new home for their pet. From time to time, owners find a new furever home for their pets outside of Muddy Paws Last Chance Rescue, and there is a delay in removing them from our site. We apologize if the Courtesy Post you apply to adopt is unavailable for adoption.   Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months.   To learn about Muddy Paws Last Chance Rescue or donate to our animals, please visit our website at MuddyPawsSecondChanceRescue.com or our Facebook Page Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue Inc. ##2524853##

Story
Faye is a sweet, affectionate girl who loves to play just as much as she loves a good snuggle. She gets along well with kids and other dogs (she has not been cat tested yet) and is incredibly intelligent—she truly thinks before she acts and often outsmarts the other dogs in the room. She’s currently working on potty training and picking it up quickly. A yard is preferred, but she stays close to her person off-leash and reliably comes when called. While she’s the most timid of her siblings, it’s usually because she’s carefully observing and figuring out the best way to gain the advantage. Three Things You Need to Know About Faye Brilliant Brain: Faye is exceptionally smart and thoughtful—she’s the kind of dog who pauses, assesses, and then wins. Sweet & Social: She enjoys both playtime and cuddles and does well with kids and dogs. Learning Fast: Potty training is in progress and going well; she’s eager to learn and responds nicely to her person. Faye is a female Corgi/Jack Russell mix pup (our best determination of breeds) who was was born approximately 7-11-25. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested heartworm negative and started on heartworm prevention. Adoption fee is $600 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care. ***If you are serious about adopting, you must first complete and submit an application on our website. Our Adoption Team will respond via email from DollysLegacyAdoptions@gmail.com once you have completed an application. If a pet is still listed, it is not yet adopted as we update daily. Story
Fia may be the smallest of her siblings, but what she lacks in size she more than makes up for in spunk. She lives for zoomies and loves to play and wrestle with her foster siblings, confidently taking no crap from anyone. Fia wants to be all up in your business and is happiest curled up in your lap soaking up belly rubs. She does well with kids and hasn’t been cat tested, though it’s unlikely to be an issue. A yard is preferred, but she stays close to her person off-leash and comes when called. She’s currently working on potty training and is incredibly curious, fearless, and fully committed to climbing up and down anything she can—full send, every time. Three Things You Need to Know About Fia Small but Mighty: Don’t let her size fool you—Fia is bold, confident, and holds her own with anyone. All About People: She loves attention, lap time, and belly rubs and wants to be part of whatever you’re doing. Fearless Explorer: Super curious and brave, she climbs, plays hard, and approaches life with zero hesitation. Story
Fang is all boy—a fearless, fun-loving puppy with a big personality packed into a small body, complete with a fluffy corgi butt and the cutest underbite. He loves to play hard and roughhouse, gets along great with dogs of all sizes and kids, and has absolutely no idea that he’s little. Fang is a classic puppy who enjoys chewing on toys, shoes, and the occasional finger, and while he’s picking up potty training, he’ll still need consistency and practice. A yard is preferred so he can burn off energy, though he stays close to his person when off leash and happily comes when called. Not cat tested yet, but it’s unlikely to be an issue. Fang also has a mischievous streak—he loves getting into trouble and then looking completely innocent afterward, which only adds to his charm. ✨ Three Things You Must Know About Fang: He’s fearless and full of personality—a big dog attitude in a small, fluffy package. He’s great with dogs and kids and loves to play and roughhouse. He’s still a puppy and will need continued training, especially with potty habits and chewing. Fang is a male Corgi/Jack Russell mix pup (our best determination of breeds) who was was born approximately 7-11-25. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested heartworm negative and started on heartworm prevention.
