Story
Leroy is a 1-year-old neutered Welsh Corgi mix with short legs, a big personality, and a comeback story that`s impossible not to root for. When he first arrived at the shelter after being surrendered for typical young dog behavior, he made it very clear he was not impressed with the situation. Thankfully, thanks to the shelter`s Shy Dog Program, Leroy has been gaining confidence every day and is making fantastic progress! These days, Leroy is becoming much more comfortable meeting new people. He’s getting better at approaching strangers and is learning that people often come with belly rubs...which, according to Leroy, are one of life`s greatest inventions. Roll him over for a tummy rub, and you`ll have a happy little buddy soaking up the attention.Like any fun-loving young dog, Leroy is powered by curiosity, snacks, and adventure. He is very treat motivated, loves sniffing and exploring, and could probably earn a degree in treat foraging. Scatter a few treats around, and he`ll happily put his nose to work! When playtime begins, Leroy is all in. He enjoys toys, balls, and has perfected his pool routine: jump in, splash around, hop out, and celebrate with a full-speed zoomie session! He knows `sit,` takes treats gently, and loves showing off his sweet side by rolling over for belly rubs.Leroy is a great smaller-sized companion, weighing under 30 pounds. He can pull a bit on leash, but he’s easy to handle because of his size. Like many young dogs, he will benefit from continued training to help him learn good manners, build confidence, and channel his enthusiasm into positive behaviors. His previous family reported that Leroy is crate trained and loves car rides, so he`s ready for adventures big and small. If you`re looking for a fun-sized dog with a huge heart, a playful personality, and a little bit of puppy mischief mixed with lots of potential, Leroy is ready to be your new best friend!

Story
Meet Olive!Don`t let her petite size fool you—at under 25 pounds, Olive packs enough energy for dogs twice her size! This Australian Cattle Dog/Corgi mix is always ready for her next adventure and would love an active family to keep up with her. Olive is a fetch fanatic! Toss a ball, and she`ll happily race after it and bring it right back. She`s even working on her `drop it` skills and is very treat motivated, taking treats gently while she learns. After she`s had a chance to burn off some energy, she settles into a nice walk on leash. This friendly, affectionate girl enjoys spending time with her people and has been social with other dogs through the fence. A meet and greet is recommended if there`s already a dog at home. Her previous owner reported that she wasn`t destructive, but she was an escape artist, so she`ll need a secure yard or supervised outdoor time to keep her adventures safe. If you`re searching for a fun-sized sidekick who loves to play, explore, and make every day an adventure, Olive is ready to fetch her way right into your heart!
