She loves her pets, belly rubs and butt scratches. She loves to snuggle! She is playful and enjoys her toys and wrestling with her doggie friends. She is treat motivated. She walks on a leash and rode well in the car. She is doing well in home with routine and settles in crate. Loves the dogs in her foster home and older kids. She will make a great companion to a lucky family

Howdy, partner! It's me, Brownie, and I'm here to turn your world upside down (in a good way!). I'm a female dog with a heart of gold but I've had a bit of a ruff start (get it?) — I came from the Bakersfield pound, and let me tell you, that place ain't no walk in the park. But I'm outta there and ready to leave my past behind however it is going to take me a while because I was not very socialized in my Kern Cty home and I am FEARFUL and wary of humans. My pals Sadie and Baikey are the opposite and moved right in with the rescue mom but I am afraid to yet. I take treats but all that picking up will have to come later. once I relax. I know, its been awhile but I am getting better and I see big things in my future. So I may not be the first to run up to strangers, and even with the nice people here it is taking me longer but that just means I take my friendships very seriously. And did I mention I'm a pro at making new dog friends? Yep, I get along with my furry peers just fine. We can play together, share secrets, and contemplate being friendlier so we get to go to the real house too. So, if you're looking for a loyal companion who's happy just making your confidence on my time and have patience I think you will be pleasantly surprised. I may be a little hesitant at first, but once I open up, you'll see just how rewarding my love and friendship can be. Here's to new beginnings and second chances! Im about 13 pounds and not young but not old.
