Story
My name is Rex! I am one year old and I weigh 36 lbs. I have short legs and a long body. I have been surrendered to the rescue because my owner worked long hours and and did not believe that I was getting the attention that I needed. I am fostered in Mount Airy, North Carolina but easy, affordable transportation is available. I love to play with toys and other dogs. Sometimes I will bring the toys back to you unless I want you to chase me. I haven't spent any time around cats. I ride well in the car and I am well behaved in the house. I love hanging out with my people and I follow my foster from room to room. I will lay down at his feet while he works. I am good with children. I'm used to sleeping in my crate on a pillow with the door open or on a dog bed near my foster's bed. I am more than happy to take all the loving that I can get! I am house trained and will walk on a leash. I will need daily exercise. I bark at strangers but warm up quickly. I am I loving boy just waiting for my new forever home! Belly rubs are a must! Email is the best method of contact. Applications can be found on our website carolinacaninerescuenc.com

Story
Please contact Jaclyn (jacnbob@yahoo.com) for more information about this pet. AJ is part of a litter of 6. They were found in an abandoned house after the renters had been evicted. We were told by the landlord and neighbor that their mother was a corgi. They were born in January 2022.  AJ has the long corgi body and the short chunky legs but the coloring of a Doberman. She has a bouncy personality and loves to play. She's very smart and learns very quickly. She  does well with other dogs but does want to play and chase cats and chickens. If you would like more information on AJ or our adoption process please enclose your phone number with your inquiry.June 5, 2023, 9:18 am
